In general, the more effort you put into your own education, the more you will get out of it. Northeastern has no shortage of resources made available at your fingertips. They have the advantages of being a very large university, giving you a wider variety of class and major choices (for all you undecided incoming freshman out there). Northeastern also has the
advantage of being in Boston: an urban hub of culture and education. If you take an astronomy class, there are field trips to the Museum of Science to use their telescope. If you take a geology class, you may visit Harvard’s collection of fossils and dinosaur skeletons. Campus is practically on top of the Museum of Fine Arts. Northeastern recently hosted the Boston Poetry Festival. You get the point.
