What made you choose your school? The sports atmosphere and rah-rah excitement surrounding it was definitely a plus, but over time I've come to appreciate other aspects. The academics constantly leave me underwhelmed, but the wide variety of people on campus gives Tucson a unique feel that I haven't found anywhere else.
What activity makes you happy? Learning more about language and the way it's used. Reading a good book comes in at a close second.
What is your biggest pet peeve? Loud bass stereos in terrible-looking cars.
What is something about you that might surprise someone? I'm generally a nice person, though I'm opinionated and somewhat brash.
What is your favorite book, movie, or TV show and why? My favorite movie is probably "Pulp Fiction." I'm a Tarantino nut in general; I love the way he takes his time to present the specific stories he wants to tell through film.
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why? Having already lived in Paris for a year, I'd like to go the opposite direction from anything European and live in Brazil. Rio looks like one of the most beautiful places in the world, with equally beautiful people.
If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be? Easy one, I had it figured out a while ago: I'd have the ability to teleport anywhere instantly, at any time. For a travel junkie like myself, that's a dream.
If you had a million dollars, how would you spend it? I'd give my parents half so they could retire comfortable, keep a third so I could live comfortably and not have to worry about money as much while I work, and donate the rest to Red Cross. Fantastic organization that deserves more recognition than they receive.
What are your plans for after graduation? I plan to work for a year or two to pay off some student loans, and then head abroad for a Masters in Applied Linguistics. Probably to Scotland, Australia, or Brazil.
