We do have an engineering department. It is combined with physics. I'm not sure what the majors are specifically. However, you can go to www.acu.edu/academics/departments.html and find all the information you need from there.
yes you will fit in just fine. the school is great and offers great programs. there is a great variety of people that attend the school and i can guarantee you that you will enjoy yourself.
You are required to attend 80 hours of chapel...if you aren't Christian it really shouldn't be the place for you. The school is very nice and the programs are great, but chapel is a big part of it.
It's very easy to go to chapel and not pay attention...
There are plenty of people here who do not identify as Christian or who are not as traditional as you'd expect. Like any other place, there will be people who want to shove religion down everyone's throats and others who respect your intelligence and individuality enough to allow you to make that choice on your own. Yes, with chapel, you'll get an ear-full. However, a lot of people just do their homework there and practically don't hear a single word. It is only 30 minutes. It's annoying to have to go basically every day, but when you look back on it, it really isn't a big deal. Most of our programs offer an amazing education with amazing professors - and that is why we go to college in the first place. The only thing I'd suggest, if you do decide on ACU, is not to parade the fact that you are not Christian because you really will get an ear-full. Many people will respect you as long as you respect them and their beliefs, as well. Good luck!
