Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Agnes Scott is a liberal arts school with a small professor-to-student ratio, with rigorous academics and a thriving club life. The professors are all passionate about the subjects they teach and have had some experience in their fields, too. For the most part, they bring their all to each class. Not only are the professors intelligent and passionate, but they are also personable. There are few professors who are difficult to speak with about problems, anxieties, or comments about a class. The same can be said for all of the faculty and staff at Agnes. Everyone is committed to allowing students to learn and grow. The small community helps everything be personal.

Agnes helps to shape students into well-rounded individuals with the skills to enter a career. In order to get the full Agnes experience, it's important to put yourself out there. Many skills can't be acquired without reaching out to the College's offices or clubs/organizations. However, the most important thing any prospective student should remember about Agnes when making her big decision is that Agnes is a small, private, women's liberal arts college. All of these factors are important to consider because they will determine the experience you have. All in all, the Agnes experience is a wonderful one, but students should be aware that this experience is only obtained if they actively engage in the community around them.

Walking, Biking, and Public Transportation

Decatur is a great walking town. Many restaurants and shops are grouped together for easy access. The MARTA train system is just a short walk from campus and will take you to many areas of Atlanta. Cycling is also popular and bike paths are increasing in number.

Great Location

Agnes Scott is a beautiful green space filled with ole trees and seasonal flowers. Just a short walk away is downtown Decatur, a small town within the city. Decatur is filled with restaurants and independent businesses where you are greeted and recognized after just a few visits. It all feels like home.

It's Okay

Food generally okay but the food isn't always cooked so well. There is a okay variety of food choices though. Freshmans barely get any declining to get candy or ice cream or lean cuisine since its 50 dollars a semester.
