There are a lot of options of what to do, but it takes a while to find out what you like.

ATLANTA IS AWESOME. There are so many colleges around so there are so many new people to meet.

There is one "fraternity" and it is a music group. You have to go to another campus for Greek life.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T05:00:40Z
The campus is so small that all parking is close. There is a huge lot that is never full.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T04:56:37Z
Agnes is basically a mini version of the world. You will see everything and everyone.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T04:55:13Z
MARTA is a 10 minute walk, but it's a $5 round trip. There is a zip car on campus and it's usually available ($15 down, then $8.75 per hour). DO NOT take a taxi, you will have no money.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T04:52:12Z
I feel like everyone I know is on scholarship. They love giving people money.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T04:51:08Z
You can basically do whatever you want. Like literally everything goes. You can drink, smoke, do drugs, have sex, and party like it's 1969. They really don't care what we do. But just don't cheat. Like the Honor Code is life.

Basically, freshman dorms are awful. The bathrooms are dirty, but that's mainly due to a lack of cleanliness on the students' part (although the cleaning staff could come more often too…) Despite the nastiness, the rooms are pretty big for freshman dorms. Dorms for upperclassmen are really nice. Inman is the place to be (they are spacious and some rooms have lofts!) Rebecca and Main have huge rooms, but they don't have air conditioning units so….
College Freshman 2013-11-11T04:39:41Z
It's a really pretty school. There's a good mix of old and new buildings. During the day it is a really fun and comforting environment.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T04:27:35Z
There is only one apartment complex that upper class students can live in and it is literally 5 minutes walking distance from the school. You must live there or on campus.
College Freshman 2013-11-11T04:20:13Z
The MARTA is available and you will probably need it to go off campus unless you have a car.
College Freshman 2013-11-09T15:41:38Z
I definitely want to get an internship. This school has many professors and advisors that you can talk to if you are interested and my professors have urged me to look into internships in the area. The center for career planning is very helpful for students seeking an internship.
College Freshman 2013-11-09T15:41:38Z
I really like the school so far. I'm on the pre-vet/med track and my only concern is being overburdened with work. This school is pretty tough. But with the help of my professors, I'll make it through
College Freshman 2013-11-09T15:38:37Z
They don't really monitor drinking in dorms or noise level but for the most part that is not a problem anyway. We have a very strict honor code which is really nice and convenient.
College Freshman 2013-11-09T15:36:58Z
The campus is so small you don't need transportation around campus. Public transportation is just a block away but I don't use it that often.
College Freshman 2013-11-09T15:34:53Z
The weather here is amazing! It's sunny almost everyday. I am very affected by the weather so this college is a great fit!
College Freshman 2013-11-05T14:17:51Z
Although I do not drive, I am very aware of the rules and regulations of student and visitor parking. Students have to make sure they plan ahead for parking, because their will not be any left. Our public safety department definitely pays attention to cars and where they should be parked.
College Freshman 2013-11-04T22:13:39Z
Agnes Scott holds all its students to an Honor Code system and it is taken cery seriously at the school. People get fined and have Judicial Court or Honor Court cases against them if they break the honor code. Incorrect parking results in a ticket and fee while underage drinking and other violations can result in fines and essays.
College Freshman 2013-11-04T22:11:29Z
As you get older, the housing options become a lot better and seniors and juniors have the option to live off campus if they would like to pay extra.
College Freshman 2013-11-04T22:10:08Z
Guys & Girls:
Agnes Scott is an all-girls institution. There are a few exceptions where transgender students attend so there are students who identify as male on campus, but these are few and far between.
College Freshman 2013-11-04T22:08:47Z
Decatur is an amazing small town and Agnes Scott is right next to its downtown area. Plus Decatur is right by Atlanta which makes everything in a big city accessible with out needing to live in the city.
College Freshman 2013-11-04T22:07:05Z
Campus food can be pretty greasy and it is very easy for the Freshman 15 to become a reality.
College Junior 2013-11-01T17:45:11Z
Athletics, the student center, and the dining hall are the three major areas on campus that need improvement. We have a new fitness center, but the main gym and the track and field need some improvement. The dining hall sucks! There are very few and poor vegetarian studies. The student center is okay, but no one can hang out there really because of all of the offices.
College Junior 2013-11-01T17:41:21Z
Our campus isn't very strict. The only thing that our campus is pretty strict about is the honor code.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
