In an effort to honor Georgia State Law as well as our Honor Code which dates back to almost a century and is held in high regard on campus, drug usage is not tolerated (or is it prominent on campus). Additionally, our students are not permittedto possess alcohol if under the age of 21 years old. If a resident of over 21 years is in possession of it and has a roommate under that age, then the quantity must clearly be for the consumption of one person, that is, the legally qualified one. Our resident assistants work with Public Safety and the Office of Resident Life to uphold these ideals. Violators are brought before Judicial Board or Honor Court, both comprising of specially trained students, and punishment is issued accordingly.

Health & Safety:
The Department of Public Safety and the Wellness Center are valuable resources on campus that work endlessly to ensure students' safety and well being. These individuals are also pretty well known and familiar with students, so there really is close interaction as fostered by our small size.

At Agnes Scott, the academics attempt to be well rounded and very instructive. We are reading and writing intensive and some of the most in depth conversations arise in the dorms, in the Dining Hall over lunch and in the classrooms. Never a dull moment.

This is Atlanta, so the weather generally tends to be warm, but also tends to be unpredictable. You may dress for more chilly waether this morning, head into class and when you come out the place is really warm, and vice-versa. Generally though, the weather is conducive to laying out on our grass and reading a book, enjoying the warmth, surfing the web (our campus and the City of Decatur has wifi access), or tanning. I've only ever seen it snow once here and when compared to the Northeast, we ecape pretty lightly.

The academics offered at Agnes Scott College is often ranked as rigorous. We offer approximately 34 majors and 31 minors, and as liberal arts students we receive a well- rounded education. Additionally, our curriculum emphasizes proficiency in writing and speaking, as reflected in our on-campus resources such as the Center for Speaking and Writing. This is perhaps our most widely utilized center. The faculty and staff also strive to reinforce our living and learning experience going hand in hand. We therefore try to house students within the same First Year Seminar (FYS) on the same dorm floor, and our newest housing option for upper classwomen is the Environmental Theme House where residents undertake to live environmentally friendly and host events to educate the campus population to do live likewise. At Agnes Scott College, apart from rigorous academics we also aim to emphasize wellness as one of our pillars. Our Wellness Center therefore advises on nutritional well being and offers counselling and massage therapy. We also offer a wide array of extracurricular activities that fosters building leadership skills and strong friendships.

The financial aid office can be very helpful but at the same time i think that taking students out of their classes for a balance less than 10,000 is harsh considering more than half is aid off

Printing on Campus – Printing on campus can be done in the library but for after hours the writing center is always open and has an awesome computer lab. Agnes Scott witting center also has helpers and great computer speed.

There are plenty of spots and it's pretty cheap ($100) for a whole year. During the week is busier than the weekend but still there is ample parking.

The train station (MARTA) is a five minute walk from the campus. The bus station is right behind the train station and the Emory cliff Bus comes around Agnes Scott so you can get a free ride to Emory and some other areas.

Pretty Diverse – There are alot fo people from all over georgia and the other states. What I found suprising is that even though most of the students are from Georgia, they some from very different cultures and backgrounds which makes the campus very interesting.

Decatur is a great walking town. Many restaurants and shops are grouped together for easy access. The MARTA train system is just a short walk from campus and will take you to many areas of Atlanta. Cycling is also popular and bike paths are increasing in number.

Great Location – Agnes Scott is a beautiful green space filled with ole trees and seasonal flowers. Just a short walk away is downtown Decatur, a small town within the city. Decatur is filled with restaurants and independent businesses where you are greeted and recognized after just a few visits. It all feels like home.

It's Okay – Food generally okay but the food isn't always cooked so well. There is a okay variety of food choices though. Freshmans barely get any declining to get candy or ice cream or lean cuisine since its 50 dollars a semester.

Wireless Network Mediorcre – The computer labs are okay but you are better off with personal computer unless you wish to spend most of your time in the library.
