Guys & Girls:
No Dudes! There are no guys here so if you're trying to get your MRS this is not the place for you. However, ASC is really close to Morehouse, GA State, and GA Tech. The obervation is that most ASC girls marry GA Tech guys in the long run.

Very Veggie at Times – There are A LOT of veggie meals but they're pretty good. The ladies at Mollies are kinda mean and everyone at Evan's is really nice.

Guys & Girls:
Only Girls School – Nothing to say about boys... Girls go to Georgia Tech or Emory or Georgia State to meet boys. Lots of events are held on campus to meet boys.

Decent Food – The food options at Agnes Scott College is decent, there are only two options, the dining hall and a fast food/grill, because it is such a small college. As a vegetarian the option can be very limited, however the college is always making improvements that are visible, for example there were requests for whole wheat pancakes and soon after it was granted

The campus of Agnes Scott is aesthetically pleasing to say the least. The grass is green all year long, you often forget what season it is. The buildings are mixed old and new, but the new buildings are integrated flawlessly with the old buildings. The student center is newly renovated and makes resources such as the book store and the post office easily accessible to students. The library is perfect for studying and napping in the late afternoon when the setting sun comes in through large windows in the Reading Room, its my favorite place to write essays.

The students are really driven and work hard towards their goals. There is no gender competition because it's a girls school, but there are still oppurtunities to meet boys. It's a beautiful campus that you enjoy walking aroung in just for fun. Everyone is nice and no one will steal stuff if you leave it there.

Lots of Different Girls – The school is pretty diverse with many different races and religions.

Decatur is a lovely little town, with a beautiful downtown district that's within walking distance. There are many restaurants and stores and easy access to MARTA. Agnes Scott has a good relationship with Decatur and is a huge part of the local culture, especially the Decatur Book Festival. If I had one complaint, it would be that it's a very quiet area. But it is a nice contrast to the busyness of Atlanta.

Decatur Eateries – I absolutely love Decatur. Why? It's cute, primarily safe, rock throwing distance from ATL, and has GREAT places to eat. Leons, Brickstore, Cakes & Ale, and Farm Burger. Endless amounts of cool little restaurants with amazing eats.

Humid in the summer, perfect in the fall, and cold in the winter. Sounds normal right?

2 Options – The dinning hall is exciting for the first year, after that you figure out its schedule and the meal rotations. There are some excellent meals prepared, some mediocre meals, and some terrible meals. If you are a picky eater, you can always be satisfied by the constant option of pizza and cereal. Magic Sandwhich day (fresh tomato and mozzerella) is one of the most popular days in the dinning hall. Wednesdays are always comfort food, and it is unhealthy, but DELICIOUS. The mac'n'cheese, the chicken, the greens, will leave you very happy and full.

the weather is quite bi polar with winds to summer heat to cold rain in a single day.
College Junior 2011-11-23T18:36:26Z
On the MARTA Bus – there is little to no nightlife unless you love movie nights with your friends. However there are plenty of school within a train ride which will gladly accommodate girls from Agnes Scott

Evans Dining Hall Vs Mollies – Evans dining hall is pitiful. Never consistent in the amount of for, this place is a last recruit for most students. The food itself, is always too salty and the health options are never actually tasteful.

Professors are truly passionate about what they teach. The professors here are amazing. They aren't the kind who are only interested in their own research projects and only teach because they have to. They genuinely care about their students and are always open to provide help when needed. All of my professors are great at linking the material we learn in class to the real world. The classes here teach you to think outside the box and look at things in all manners: pragmatically creatively, and reflectively. I couldn't have asked for a better education.

Decatur Is Pretty Fantastic – What's great about Agnes Scott is that it's right in Decatur. Decatur is a lovely neighborhood with the right amount of cozy charm of a suburb mixed with so many interesting shops and restaurants. Everything in Decatur is within walking distance which is especially good if you're like me and don't have a license (let alone a car). Decatur is a small enough area where you won't get lost and after a few weeks streets become recognizable and you can pretty much find your way around with some basic knowledge. There's the Cliff bus station to get to Emory University and MARTA to get to Atlanta. If you go into a store and say you're from Agnes Scott there's bound to be someone who either went here, or knows someone who went here, or just appreciates the warm atmosphere Agnes Scott has to offer.

A Community of Acceptance – People on-campus are very accepting of people of differing sexual orientations. There are many on-campus clubs for people of different ethnic/racial backgrounds, and I think we have multiple LGBT groups on campus. All of these groups have widespread participation on campus.
College Senior 2011-11-19T00:08:09Z
Difficult, but Rewarding – There are few easy A's at Agnes Scott College. Even the entry level classes encourage you to think deeply. I came in expecting to coast through those classes like I did in high school, but I have found that to continue to receive A's in classes, I had to meet with professors and go to the free tutoring offered on campus. All of the professors are willing to schedule time to meet with you and the tutors in the Math and Science learning center and the writing center are also very helpful. The school holds itself to a high moral standard, with an honor code that allows professors to give take-home tests, and allows us to self-schedule finals. I do wish we had more sections of courses to choose from for scheduling, but that is small-college life.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
