There are several small computer labs on campus where students have access to Macs and PCs as well as the Internet. These labs aren't ever really crowded because most people have their laptops to use. Mostly, when students do use the computer labs, they go to utilize their $30 printing money or for movie editing software. Information Technology Services is the place to go if you're having difficulties connecting to the school's network or if you just need troubleshooting advice. The people who work in ITS are often very helpful when it comes to minor problems with software or the network, but that's as far as their help extends.
Agnes's network isn't awful, but it can't always be trusted to function properly. While the Wi-Fi services offered are better than they were in previous years, the wireless connectivity still runs at a snail's pace. There are several Wi-Fi networks available on campus, WoofWoof being the most reliable. It never goes out, while Scottie Wi-Fi goes in and out of range, and signs people off after a certain amount of connected time. The Ethernet connection is always reliable; the speed is slightly better than the Wi-Fi connections, so it's an overall better choice when working on Internet projects.
