Health and safety services are amazing at Agnes. The entire campus is secure, and almost every student feels safe enough to walk outside at night. The campus police are extremely friendly, and are a constant presence around campus. There are get-togethers called "Meet the HEAT," where Agnes students can speak with Public Safety and learn self-defense techniques. The campus itself is small and safe. The safest places are the dorms as well as the library. However, the Decatur area isn't safe in some places, such as around MARTA and some of the neighborhoods. These areas are typically safest during the day or when students travel in large groups.

The wellness center is located on campus, and is easily accessible to everyone. The wellness center offers a wide variety of services that include counseling, gynecology appointments, chiropractic care, and access to a nutritionist. Appointments are almost always available, but students must conform to the wellness center as opposed to the wellness center conforming to students. This system of appointments can be tricky and frustrating at times. If you remember to make an appointment as soon as possible, you will be seen as soon as possible. The wellness center staff seeks to have a comfortable relationship with students, and it's always willing to listen or point students in the right direction in the event of an emergency. Both Public Safety and the wellness center have phone numbers in the event of a medical or psychological emergency.
