Advice on Financial Aid
Looking for financial aid is a daunting process, but the right help always makes things so much smoother! That being said, don't go through the financial aid and scholarship process alone. The Office of Financial Aid is extremely helpful when discussing your options and explaining bureaucratic, financial jargon. When you apply, you are automatically considered for Agnes scholarships, and if you'd like extra help, you can go online to www.agnesscott.edu/admission/undergraduate/financialaid or visit the Office of Financial Aid for more scholarship options. The College does a wonderful job at offering services to students. You must seek in order to find, and don't allow a cloud of jargon to keep you from obtaining your aid. In addition to seeking, you must stay ahead and be conscious of deadlines. In order to be considered for Agnes scholarships, apply early and check often. For outside scholarships, it's important not to overwhelm yourself with scholarships. Pick three or four to start with and go from there. The worst thing you can do to yourself is to become overwhelmed. If you do all of these things, you will be on the right track to a bright and relatively stress-free Agnes adventure!
Special Financial Aid Programs
There's a merit scholarship of $15,000 each year for four years to Georgia students who qualify for Georgia's HOPE Scholarship, or to other domestic students who have a 3.6 high school GPA and a 1300 SAT (math and critical reading) or a 29 on the ACT. Also, after their sophomore year, these students receive $3,000 for an internship, study abroad, or mentored research experience.
