I spend more time on online classes than in a regular class.

Starting school after 30 years was a little difficult.

Any Alumni – i am not an alumni, however i do not see many posters or announcements to encourage me to come back for any reason after i graduate.

the student body is relatively diverse. in my experience all differences are tolerated well by other students. the school does not acomodate to parents who have school-age children when there are unexpected school closures for the kids due to severe weather the college is still open and their students are still expected to attend class.

The Social Scene – I get to meet alot of people who are great and help each other. We not only meet in class but also after it to finish our work and discuss our readings. I like that I get to have friends and there is not so many people around that i don't even now one fourth of my school.

My Experiences – I like my school because we get small classes and more attention from our professors. It is cheaper and we get the same classes that we need to transfer to other colleges. They help us get into the college atmosphere instead of being lost and no attention at all. I am in the CAMP programm which helps me become more independent and choose my right career choice.I am in LULAC were I get to help with funraising, food donations and other things. Overall, I like my decision and hopefully in two years I will recieve my Associates in early childhood education.

I have a young family and work full-time and the only way I could pursue my education is through an online program. The Aims online program is perfect for me and is set up to connect students and teacher, so that community is experienced. My World Geography course is enhanced through online studies, with so many online resources to make learning interactive and interesting. We still use textbooks, of course!

I'm Learning – I think the professors go out of their way to support the learning environment at Aims. They communicate expectations and provide ample feedback. The class registration was very simple and I was pleased with the courses offered. I have always felt that I did not have the brains for college, but now I am growing in confidence and believe that I can make it.

A Community College That Shines – I am now in my second semester at Aims Community College and feel very pleased that I chose Aims to take the next step in my education. Aims excels in communicating details without overloading students with information. The course work caters for all learners and the professors engage students with enthusiasm and excellence. I highly recommend Aims Community College.

Student Center Is Awesome – I love the new Student Center. It is very comfortable to sit and work on homework or just relax for a while. I like that the tutoring, cafeteria, bookstore, library etc are all in one building

Communication a Problem – I have found that more then one online instructor will take sometimes days if at all to respond to emails. Many times the emails will be about questions about assignments, so I will either not get the assignment done, or just do it without assistance. They need to respond within 24 hours. If they are going to do online, they need to be available online

Could Use Some Work – I am a returning alumni and have applied for work at the college, but have never been interviewed. The career center seemed to be more for the high school student coming into the college and not the person in transition.

Very Diverse School – There are a lot of non-traditional students. I like this as these students take their education seriously. This is very different from the University environment were students are mostly out of high school and make excuses for their attendance and progress.

Great Program – I like the instructors, and the advising staff. The financial aid department is slow and do not seem to care that a student receives their funding in a timely manner.

To get tuters at aims is very difficult. All tutors are located in Greeley wich is a little far from our school. But when they try to hire tutors they put all of there effort to het a tutor.

Small Classes – My school has very small class sizes. It serves as an opportunity for the professor and the student to get to know each other on a one on one level. By having this, I find it much easier to get the grades I am shooting for in each class.

So far I have enjoyed my time at Aims. The class sizes are small and it is a good learning environment. Most of the teachers are really well rounded, but I have a one or two did not do too wonderful of a job. It is very cheap and I love that about it. I plan to transfer to a 4-year university to continue with my education. I am fairly happy with my school experience.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Great Aid If You Make It – process takes alot of time if submitted late or after the deadline, but if submitted on time, then aid is available the first day of classes. so that is good.

aims c.c. has a very friendly environment and all facility members and professors are able to treat me with respect and in good manner. they hold a lot of work shops and events, i dont attend all but create great experiences for students and the community

The campus resources in my opinion are excellent. They have everything in the college center. They have a pretty big computer lab which is never full so you know you will always have somewhere to go. Printing on campus is pretty easy, except you have to pay like 5 cents a paper.
Network reliability and speed is great. Has never been slow to me. They also have wireless access. I'm not to sure if you can get a personal computer though.
College Junior 2012-01-18T06:01:39Z
Academic Flexibility – There is a lot of diversity in my classrooms. People from all over actually. Most teachers are pretty great, well the ones that I have had so far. Some teachers though, do not really help a student out. That's what I really need sometimes.
Frustrations I have had are probably not enough help from teachers.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
