I think Aims is a very well organized school. I have some disabilities and they have offered a lot of different solutions to some of my problems. EX. I have bad neuropathy in my fingers and they offered at no expense to me to pay someone to take notes for me. They have been very helpful with helping financially and steering me towards grants and scholarships and loans that have made it possible for me to go back to school at age 50. Overall I would give them a 9 out of 10 in all categories that I have dealt with so far.

Small School. I am currently doing all my research at Colorado State University college library. The college lacks resources in this area.

Teacher Help Shape the World. I was not sure about going back to school because I am an adult. However, my experience at school has been exciting. I am learning new skills that I can't wait so show off. Anybody that attends school, young or old has there life dreams in there hand, and teachers help evolve that dream. Teachers are what drive Aims community college. They believe in each student, most of all, they believe in me.

The students attending AIMS are a diverse group. Sometimes classes are full of outgoing, intelligent students who really enjoy learning. Sometimes, classes refuse to speak up and complain whenever the opportunity presents itself. However, I have never witnessed or heard about any bullying or fighting on campus between students. They are a fun and very nice group. Most lead very busy lives, yet they are all very friendly. Overall, a good, diverse group.

Personally, I prefer face-to-face classes to online courses. However, the setup at AIMS is accessible and fairly basic. I enjoyed the online courses, but an ability to manage one's time is a must. Workload doesn't vary much from the typical face-to-face classes; it is easily manageable. Discussion forums are a substitute for in-class discussions, and teachers are usually directly involved in all discussions. Overall, good experience.

Great Experience – I never had a professor at AIMS who I wouldn't call my friend. They are easy to talk to and really care about their students. The student body isn't huge, so getting to know teachers on a one-on-one basis is easy. I work and have a family outside of school, like many college students. The teachers understand this, and the workload is appropriate. Enough to keep busy, but not overwhelming. There are many club and extracurricular activity options. Students can easily speak to the administration about problems or special requests. I highly recommend AIMS Community College.

For my particular field of study, my clinical sites are my post-grad services. We have treated the experience like a long interview process. The best part about this process is that the technologists you could be working with someday are getting to see you grow and are extremely helpful. Also most of the technologists are Aims graduates, which helps give me the confidence that I will find a job easily once I graduate

Radiologic Technology Class – So far I have enjoyed the courses I am taking. The part that sets our school apart from other schools is the more updated equipment we get to use as well as the clinical courses we get to take. The clinical instructors work hard with the technologists to make sure we are treated fairly and get a great experience at each clinical site we get to go to. Also it is a great experience to be able to visit different sites so we do not get too comfortable at one site.

Quite Flexible – They've started adding core classes at the Windsor building which is where the automotive classes are so they're trying to make it more convenient for the students who are either attending class out there or live closer to it. They offer 3 different times during the day for the program which works great for people who are working and attending school at the same time.

Diversity in the Body – The student body at Aims is very diverse. We live in a heavy hispanic town, which means that we have several latinos as well as several Somali's within the student body. I feel that having a diverse campus allow people to look outside of their sphere of influence and see that there is more to the world and that the world has a lot to offer.

Professors Professionalism – Aims community College has a fairly wide range of class that they offer. The part of their courses that I enjoy the most is the professors that teach those specific courses. The professors know the subject matters well and the make the learning environment conducive to an enjoyable learning experience. The professors care about the students and do what it takes to make sure the students learn the material and are able to pass the class with out just giving in. They make the students work for it but help them on the way.

I really enjoy aims for the small class sizes and passionate teachers, over all it has been a really great experience. However, the down side to aims is that there are bad teachers and since there are so few different classes of each section, sometimes you get stuck with the bad teachers. Also, trying to get financial aid can sometimes be a nightmare; the financial aid office is always backed up because they do not have enough help in their office.

Slow but Works – Have definitely been frustrated with how long they take to turn on and boot up, but that is to be expected. Was impressed that between Summer and Fall Semester they upgraded to new Windows program. Much appreciated.

Great Educators – A surprisingly tough academic schedule for a community college. Have had wonderful experiences in the Art and English department at the Loveland campus.

Good Location – The location in a non-college town makes it bearable to go to class, but not have to deal with the college town hassles such as overcrowding and slow pace like the nearest college town to us.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
