Nothing for Associates Alumni – I have applied for several jobs at Aims however I have never been called for an interview. When I contacted the career center they looked at me oddly as to why an alumni would be asking them about jobs. They stated that they were really there to help current students.

Mostly Working Parent Students – There are many hard working students that attend my school and manage their personal life as well. People work hard as parents and as students.

School Within My Location – I choose Aims community college because it was very flexible with my work and personal life. I also choose Aims because it was the closest college to my house.

Undergraduate Classes – I have yet to start my specific classes designated with my major. Currently, I am finishing my undergraduate classes, so I can't give an honest opinion of the program classes. I do on the other hand really enjoy the classes I am currently taking.

Proffessors More Than Helpful – This spring was my first semester. It definitely took me sometime getting back into the school mindset. I found that in the classroom my teachers were more than willing to address each students different learning styles, and were always more than willing to answer our questions. Overall I had a very positive classroom experience. I greatly appreciated the fact that my professors were always willing to meet before class or after, not just during their office hours.

Wish I could go to a different Community college, but I don't haev a choice.

I only signed up for this school because it was the closest school to where I lived. Nothing transferred from the University I was at previously, and that made it hard for me to do classes. They also started a new ciriculum, where you have to be at a certain math, science, and english levels to take classes. Everything here has been a Hassle! The financial aid deptartment is horrible as well!

The Computers Are SLOW – I think everything at AIMs is good, but the computers in the classrooms are so slow. The ones in the ARC are much faster, but the ones in some of the classrooms can take up to 10 minutes to even boot up.

Very Helpful – I love my classmates at AIMs. We are the Fort Lupton campus and everyone i have met has been helpful and nice. I even had a few help me break into my car when I locked my keys in it! This happened twice!

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Get It Done – My education at AIMs has been very valuable to me. My advisor does help me signing up for my classes and deciding what I need and should be doing. I don't get the help I would like to get my financial aid. I am sure I can be getting more but I feel very on my own with it. It is very importnat that I get the financial aid forms done as soon as I can.

Oil and Gas Production – The prgram is very new to the school and it seems that the people in charge are trying hard to get the program up and running

Good on All Accounts – I find the school very easy to find classes and with individual counseling

TECHNOLOGY EQUIPPED, Competitive and Knowledgeable Professors – My school provides a lot of programs to help students cope up with their classes. They have tutoring centers and also they put supplemental instructors in every classes to help the students.

I Like It – I like being at my school they make me feel like a person there. I had a medical problem at school once and asked someone for help and he called an ambulance for me which was very helpful, but he didn't stop there. The next day he sent me an email asking me how I was, all he knew was my name so had to ask someone for my email. So he went above and beyond which made me feel happy to be at this school because I'm not a number I'm a person. Teachers also take the time to get to know us and learn our name unlike other schools and then they call on you to make you think which is a good thing. I love being at my school and hopefully other people do too.

Internet access is good. We are easily able to log on. The library has many printers so we don't have to wait a long time. Using the printers is very affordable. The library has a lot of open hours for us to use the computers and any other resource needed. The resources at the school are good.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
It's Not Bad – The education I'm getting is worth the money I'm paying. Teachers do a very good job teaching what we have to learn. My financial aid is usually loans which is an easy process. Recently they changed how you meet with a financial aid personal so if you plan to meet with one the wait time can be short as well as it can be long. Beginning of the semester is always long, but in the middle of the semester the line isn't as long. They made it convenient to accept awards because you accept it online, you don't have to accept at the financial aid office so it makes it easier on us and on them.

Resources Are Good – The campus resources are good. We have a gym and courts that we can practice on. They offer tutoring which is very helpful. The library has a lot of resources that we can use like textbooks and computers. The school also offers a lot of activities for us to get involved in. Overall the campus offers a lot to keep their students happy and that's why students like hanging out on campus.

I have not had any trouble trying to get papers printed or using the computers for research.

Honestly, there is nothing unique about this school. The people there could probably care less about any of the students, all they want is their paycheck. The social scene is very boring and there isn't a lot of students that are of younger age. The school doesn't have a nice look like some of the other college in Colorado.

Trying to Register – When I decided to attend Aims Community College, I was living in Grand Island, NE. I had talked to someone about how to register and I was told that I would have to drive there on the first day of registration. So, I made plans and worked everything out and I was able to make it Greeley, CO. As I made my way in to talk to an adviser, someone told me that you had to make an appointment with one. They said they could not make an exception and I would have to come back in January. By the time I moved there and got settled in, it was to late to register for my classes. I am not stuck going to school in the summer due to the poor communication at Aims Community College.

Opportunities Given for Help After Graduation – I do notice that the instructors, director, and advisors in the Automotive program offer their help and insight after graduation. They don't just throw you out into the "real world" and expect the best. If there are ever any questions or if we are in need of references or letters of recommendation, they are all quite willing to be there for the students.

Better Than Most – Aims offers one of the best Automotive program in Colorado and has some of the newest technologies to work with. I've been able to maintain a B average since the beginning. The instructors are very knowledgeble about the subject and have a lot of life experience to back up their instruction. I'd definately recommend the program to others contemplating their ASE Certifications and AAS in Automotive Technologies.

Some Socialize but Not Many – Aims consists of a lot people who are extremely busy working full-time or part-time and going to school full-time or part-time so their schedules are quite busy. They do get involved during class-time, but not as much outside of class-time in various clubs and what not because they are too busy with their jobs and school studies. It's actually the kind of environment I thrive in.

Enjoy the School – I really enjoy going to Aims. I have met some cool people, my instructors are awesome and always there to help if needed. I'm really pleased with my decision to come here.
