Friendly and Helpful Teachers and Staff – I transferred to Aims after receiving a lot of confusion and headaches from another community college. The first time I walked into Aims with my infant daughter the front staff was immediately helpful and attentive. I was soon in an appointment with a adviser signing up for classes. I told her my major, my transfer intent, and that I like to have classes close together. She found my classes within minutes. I have since stuck with Aims, its small class sizes, caring teachers, and friendly staff.

Teachers Inconsistent – My overall experience at Aims has been positive; however, I feel that some teachers grade on how well they like the student. I had a class last semester that I worked harder then I have ever worked in any other class and I received a "D". I feel it is because I missed class the day I was suppose to present my powerpoint, due to my mother falling and me having to take her to the Emergency Room (which I proved with a doctors note that my teacher required me to get). I had straight "B's" that semester except for her class. After talking to several of the students in her class that were doing much worse than me as far as class points, got a "B" in her class.
I also feel that teachers could do a better job of having their tests reflect what they lecture on in class!

General Campus – I have found that Aims Community College is the perfect college for me because of it's small size. The Computer Lab is very accessible. They have plenty of computers for students to use. They also have a good variety of reading materials in the library. I love using the database searches when I research papers. This helps find a lot of information that I need. I have yet to be in the Gym but I heard it is good. The main thing that I love is the College Center. Everything a student needs is in that building and I feel them building it helped a lot with navigation and getting the help that is needed by students.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
My School's Finacial Aid Process. I have had wonderfull sucess with my school's finacial aid process. I have not came across and difficulty so far with finacial aid. However, the books can be very costly at my school and I do not have any money left over after I pay for all my books. It is very important to research all the scholorships and fincial aid that your school can provide. Be accountable and keep up on your finacial aid status.

I enjoy my school. I just go there to get my education and I also have made some great friends. I love the teachers and they have really helped me reach my grade goals. I also like the tutoring center at my college. If it wasen't for the help my college provides, I am not sure if I would have the grades I have today.

The school allows so many groups of activities that it is impossible not to meet new people.

Working Student – I work full time and am trying to fit in my pre-reqs for nursing. It was easy to fit in classes and still work.

Not Very Involved in After Education – As a community college, job placement is not their highest priority. They are semi helpful in getting you ready for your next schooling levels but rarely have i heard of people getting jobs straight from community college.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Great Price for Your Education – You really can't get a better price than at a community college for your education. For the fact that the education is very basic as it is only a two year college, that works out really well. Especially for students that screw up in the beginging and aren't wasting too much money while they are getting used to how college works.

Helpful for Getting Started – My school has a great price and setup for students who are getting started into college. It allows for the few screw ups you might make while getting used to becoming an adult and starting your college career. Over all I would have to say my experience with my school has been great.

The computer labs are open until 10pm which is very helpful to me. The speed of the net is great and there are personal computers and printers availiable here at Aims.

No Experience – I haven't had must experience with the career services at Aims I did most of that at job service. I did talk to one instructor here who teaches carreer assestments and sounds very interesting . He said financial aid doesn't pay for it. I would half to pay for it out of my own pocket to take the class

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Tuition Is Cheap for the Caring You Get. The Greeley campus has been great for me. Having gone to (and flunked out of) a big school it's nice to be somewhere that everybody is on the same team.

Bad Smell, Good Education. The Greeley campus often smells like Greeley. That being said, the professors and teachers are really helpful, genuinely concerned with your well being and generally awesome to study under.

Student Help Line – Aims offers the most wonderful resources to help students succeed. They have a library, testing center, tutoring center, student commons area. Aims is loaded with student activities which branch out to all their campuses so no one is left out. There are computers everywhere so if a student needs something it is always at their disposal.

As I started attending Aims Community College, the advisors, instructors, and facuilty have been the most amazing and helpful people. I never have to wait long for an appointment, and they offer any resource I can imagine. All this just to help me succeed.
