Online courses are wonderful for those who are self motivated. If you don't need someone to babysit you, and remind you when your assignments are due, it's great. Especially nice for working adults and parents- it can be hard trying to find time in your day to go sit in a classroom (especially when you have children). Their online courses allow you to do your work when it's convenient for you.

Online courses at Akron Institute of Herzing University are a lot of work with reading, watching presentations, doing the discussion topics with responses, and the weekly assignments. It is very manageable because you can access everything 24 hours a day 7 days a week. There is always technical assistance if you are having trouble with your computer.

I have not yet had any online courses at mym school. I anticipate that it will be a different experience. I can think of a few pros and cons to taking courses online. A pro would be that I would not have to travel. It would definately save me time sine I always have to drop my daughter off at daycare before I go to shool. Another pro is that I can learn in my home, which is a very relaed environment for me. A con would be that I love the one on one attention I get from my professors. I don't think it is possible to get that same attention from a teacher online.

The online courses were a waste of money and time. I learned nothing, and felt that the school was simply trying to steal more of my money. Like its not bad enough that I qualify for the full Grant amount and my expected contribution is $0, but they make me take out 10K in student loans for pointless classes I dont need. Though I suppose thats like any other university, Akron Institute thou is known for stealing from you left and right and this is just another nail in your financial coffin.

Not Much Experience – I began online and I absolutely didn't like it. There was too much stress registering and begining classes. I had issues with my computer and my on-line instructors didn't get back to me. The advisors were really great and tech support was awsome as well. I withdrew from on-line and enrolled to the Akron campus and haven't looked back.
