Drugs are a huge issue on campus. Rumor has it that drugs are usually seen more in the male dormitories. Although drugs are not seen in the female dormitories as much, they are not nonexistent. You can encounter them at some point. In the crime statistics, of all the campus violations, the ones involving drugs are the highest—more so than alcohol offenses.
A word of advice to the incoming freshmen or to anyone who is thinking of attending A&M: be careful who you hang around. If you choose to hang around people who do drugs, then you'll be putting yourself in an unsafe position. However, if you choose to hang out with people who are drug-free, then you'll have a safer college experience.
