Greeks are always on campus; you know almost every single one by first name and their usually very social but the only thing is we don't have a lot of showcases.

The step shows are pretty entertaining. Most of the frats and sororities display a decent performance.

I would love to see the "yard" that they'll step in. the only time I saw step shows were during homecoming and spring week.

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Greek life is very big at A&M. As a matter of fact, there is an event called "Every Sunny Wednesday" that is specifically for the Greeks. It is a time for each Greek organization to stroll on the quad and strut its stuff in front of peers. Students always gather at the quad for this event. Greeks are very involved on campus. Most of them are in organizations like the Student Government Association (SGA) and the Honors Program. Most of the Greek organizations are seen all over campus because they are almost always putting on events for students. A lot of these organizations put on forums so students can come out and voice their opinions about important issues that young people are facing. They also host parties after big games or special events.

Students who do not want to be in a Greek organization can pledge other organizations that are non-Greek. For example, if your major has a society related to it, then you can pledge that group and be a part of that organization. Most majors have an organization that students can pledge. Also, the Honors Program and a few other extracurricular activities have organizations that students can pledge. A little food for thought for students who are thinking about pledging an organization related to their major: it looks really good on your application for graduate school.
