There are plenty of apartments off campus that students can live in if they choose not to stay in the dorms or in AAMU's off-campus apartment complex, Normal Hills. Some students who live off campus say it's cheaper than living on campus. Unfortunately, if you receive financial aid from the school, you cannot use your scholarships, refund checks, Pell Grant, or any other financial assistance you are receiving from school to purchase an off-campus apartment. Most of the apartment complexes in Huntsville won't accept this form of payment.
Huntsville Place is the only apartment complex that will allow you to purchase an apartment with your financial aid. However, A&M won't assist you when you try to apply for this apartment because they want to encourage their students to stay on campus.
