Vast Amount of Diversity in the Nursing Program – The nursing program and all the other programs i am sure are made up of a wide variety ethnicity's and ages as well. We have students anywhere from the fresh out of high school white kid to the black mother of three and even a couple from Africa. The crazy thing about it is that everyone seems to get along just fine. It is funny how that works sometimes. Our school has just a good environment to learn in and occasionally a little fun.

Nursing Program – The nursing program in general is just tough and everyone knows it. It is a challenge everyday just to make it, but I am making it and enjoying every minute of it. It is just an interesting career in all aspects. We are in clinicals now in the nursing home and I am learning a lot and it is all coming together. The things we learned in the classroom are making sense now. The instructors I have are a big help and are wonderful to work with. Don't get me wrong, they are tough, but tough in a good way. If that makes sense. I just really love nursing as a career and I think I am going to really enjoy it. I never thought i would be doing nursing, as a male, because I am the odd man out, but i love it!

Computer Lab/ Library Overview – Overall the library/Computer lab is sufficient and is in working order, but sometimes it is not. The computers are old and sometimes they happen to run slow. The staff is there to readily help you when there is a problem though. Another thing is the copy machine. Students do not have direct assess and the staff is always questioning how many copy's you need and so forth. It gets frustrating at times. Students pay their fair share in computer lab fees and it would just be nice if some of these problems could be resolved.

Online Classes – I love the flexibility of online classes. But the down side is that you get to relaxed and can easily get behind if you do not have a computer.

Class Transfers – I do love the fact that Alabama Southern will allow most schools to transfer their credits. It sucks when you have to redo a class that you've already passed.

Class Work Load – Sometimes I wish that the teachers would not give so much work considering most students are juggling crazy scedules. I know we have to get through a certain amount of work in a semester, but if we are so cramed with work, most of our grades are going to "Fall by the waistside".

The Size of Campus – This school has other Campuses besides the one that I attend. I like that this school is not that large making it easy for people to navigate around the building.

A Good Teaching Staff and Administrative Staff – At Alabama Southern Community College Its easy for everyone to get along, and whenever help is needed its available. The only bad thing is the internet service is sort of slow, making research difficult at times.

I am an independent student trying to go through school, I have been going since the fall of 2008. Alabama Southern Community College is a great school, and tuition is not outrageous, but its a little steep for me to pay.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
