Some of the administrative people are terrible. As well as the officers. You can't say hello to some of them without them catching an attitude. It doesn't make you feel safe sometimes. Last year and officer told a student she would shoot them.

As a commuter, I find the only issue that I have had with ASU, as far as strictness is the parking designation and noticeability. Also the time it takes financial aid representative to follow up with students. However I do understand that there are a large count of student who are trying to get financial aid assistance.

The campus strictness, police and safety are pretty strict about parking and suspicious activities going on campus. They often send out emails to urge students to report wrong activities going on campus. However, they are not to aware about the underage drinking and drug abuse that goes on rampantly on campus. As for dorm strictness, they do however, advise that students aren't allowed to share dorms with friends or families. But most students still get away with this.

Albany State Univesity has a strong zero-tolerance policy, where many students are now facing harsh discipline as we speak. I give it a "B" grade because wherever you attend college there are rule benders who tend to slide by, but here there are not many, but a pretty good amount out there.

I can only speak for where I lived. Personally, I feel like the hall that I lived in was way too strict. We were treated like kids in timeout or animals in a zoo, which is not cool.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
