Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

The facilities on campus range from functional to life-saving. The Stockwell-Mudd Library falls into the latter category. Offering an abundance of places to study, the library is the place to be most weeknights. There’s a computer lab, plenty of laptops to check out, and an amazing archive of journal articles to sort through when researching. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. Other great and popular places to study include the various floors of the Kellogg Center, Albion’s student union. On the first floor, there is a living room with couches, chairs, and coffee tables. The second floor is where the Eat Shop and the SEE Lounge are located. The third floor is mainly offices for student organizations, but on the fourth floor there is a cushy loft with couches, tables, and a big- screen TV.

If you’re looking to kill some time or hang out with friends outside of the dorms, then you may want to check out the Dow, Albion’s athletic center. There are a lot of new cardio and weight machines to work out on, as well as an inside track with tennis, racquetball, and basketball courts. If you’re looking for something a little more low-key, the student-run coffeehouse has a comfortable atmosphere with board games, books, and entertaining shows and events later at night.

Really Nice

Albion keeps very good care of all of its facilities. The DOW Athletic center is very very nice. Most living areas are awesome. And personally I think our campus has a lot of beautiful buildings.

Accessible and Friendly

The facilities on campus are excellent. However, the hours that many facilities are open are insufficient. The campus is beautiful and pleasant to be at, though.

Favorite Things To Do

Most Albion students like to hang out in each other’s dorm rooms for fun. However, sometimes they will venture out to take in a sports game, a play, or an event brought in by the Union Board.

Not a whole lot. Most students spend time between classes either napping, eating at Baldwin, or hanging out with friends. The Dow is open during the day for those who like to workout, as is the Eat Shop.
