The facilities on campus range from functional to life-saving. The Stockwell-Mudd Library falls into the latter category. Offering an abundance of places to study, the library is the place to be most weeknights. There's a computer lab, plenty of laptops to check out, and an amazing archive of journal articles to sort through when researching. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. Other great and popular places to study include the various floors of the Kellogg Center, Albion's student union. On the first floor, there is the Living Room with couches, chairs, and coffee tables. The second floor is where the Eat Shop and the SEE Lounge are located. The third floor is mainly offices for student organizations, but on the fourth floor, there is a cushy loft with couches, tables, and a big-screen TV.
If you're looking to kill some time or hang out with friends outside of the dorms, then you may want to check out the Dow, Albion's athletic center. There are a lot of cardio and weight machines to work out on, as well as an inside track with tennis, racquetball, and basketball courts. If you're looking for something a little more low-key, the student-run coffeehouse has a comfortable atmosphere with board games, books, and entertaining shows and events later at night.
