Albion College is a residential college, and they take that seriously. The only part Residential Life plays in off-campus housing is handing over a two-page application with a look of disdain. Don't bother asking them, or the College in general, for any help. In order to even be considered for off-campus housing, you need to provide a "legitimate" excuse with backup. For instance, if it's for health reasons, they want a detailed note from your doctor. If it's for financial reasons, they want documentation as proof of your financial situation.

The good news for future Albion students is that, as the College continues to accept more and more students into the school, room in on-campus housing is becoming scarce. Due to the lack of rooms and space, the College has recently become a bit more lenient toward allowing students to live off campus. It will hopefully continue to get easier as Albion's student population grows.
