Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

Overall, Albion College is great for a number of reasons. The small campus makes it easy to make friends immediately and meet new people. While living in Albion can be boring at times, making the most of it is sometimes what will leave you with the most memories. There is a sense of community on Albion's campus that is hard to duplicate anywhere else. This isn't to say that everyone gets along, but there is a certain bond between all Albion students.

Albion's liberal arts education is something that also seems to be unique to the College. The professors are approachable, and their excitement for their courses is infectious. Even when you're taking a class that is not related to your major, you appreciate what you learn and are proud of what you've learned in looking back. Beneath the exterior sometimes, Albion is just a down-home friendly kind of place, and a lot of students seek comfort in that and learn to love where they are.

My school doesn't offer off campus housing unless you live within 30 miles of the school or if you have a medical reason.

Albion College Local Atmosphere was reviewed by lme11

The surrounding town of Albion is crime filled. At night I wouldn't suggest walking alone, even on campus. The town’s people come onto campus and attended the frat parties. This causes issues in the frats because the town’s people smoke illegal drugs within the frats. Honestly, it is scary to walk campus by yourself at night. We do have campus safety, but that is not enough to ensure safety for all of the students. Not only is the town scary in order to shop you having to take the 20 minute drive out to Jackson Michigan.

Albion College Majors was reviewed by lme11

Albion College is well known for their high expectations. This liberal arts college is hard and pushes their students to help them achieve higher goals. I enjoy my college a lot. A biology major’s requirement, which are expected to be filled, are challenging. It is not an easy program, but its not met to be easy. It is to discover the best and who will work to be the best. My workload is ridiculous; either you are doing online homework or studying your butt off for a test. The grad schools look at Albion college and expect great things from the perspective students. The amount of acceptance from graduate schools is one of the main reasons I decided to attend Albion College.

The facility is nice, plenty of seating and very clean. However, food can often be bland and monotonous.

Academics are great. Dorms are really well kept and up to date. The dining facility is very clean, however, food can get monotonous.
