Quick Stats

Best Ways to Get to the Airport A cab ride to the airport is way too much. Luckily, Albion offers bus shuttles to the airports during holiday times.

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

There really is no need for public transportation on Albion’s campus. Everything on campus is within walking distance, and even if you don’t have a car, you’re sure to have a friend who does. Also, Campus Safety is really nice about giving out rides to students. All a student needs to do to get a ride from Campus Security is call in advance and request a ride.

The College also provides shuttles going to and from Jackson to Meijer, and they are free of charge. During the holidays, there are even shuttles all the way to the Detroit airport for students who need to fly home. These shuttles also are free of charge. The Amtrak station in town is extremely easy to get to as well. As usual, Albion makes it easy for its students.

Transportation

Anywhere you want to go within Albion is in walking distance. You can go four years without a car. For grocery shopping and traveling to surrounding cities, you'll want a friend with a car. Albion has a train station in downtown that travels from Detroit to Chicago, which I used more than a few times to and from my house in metro-Detroit and for weekend trips to Chicago.

What public transportation? The train station in Albion is convenient for some students. I’ve never used Campus Safety for off-campus travel.
