Reading is a nice enough area if you are smart about where you go and how you handle yourself. Lots of restaurants around and a few good shopping options.

The campus is okay, very rural area. There isn't too much going on here at Albright College. I probably wouldn't know, the professors here keep me busy. If campus prices are too high for you, we have a host of lower priced stores just around the corner big names like Giant, Dollar Tree, and Wawa. The campus is safe, my freshman year so far hasn't had any mishaps occur that I know of. Berkshire Mall is just 15 minutes away if you want to go shopping. Sports, I play for the football team here and from what I've seen our games are get live, we have some very expressive fans and we reward them with good play. I don't really have time to join clubs/ or do activities and stuff, but from what I've heard we have lots things you can do you'll never go bored.

Small College Experience – The town offers a view of city life for those who have not seen it. Being in Reading it is a new look due to the poverty in the city. The campus is small and convienent with new additions almost all the time. There's three malls close to campus and plenty of shops around. The safety can be a little concerning, but if you stay near the campus you should be fine! However, if you go into the city you risk your health. Most people have a positive attitude towards the students here in the community.

Lacking City – In Reading, they're a number of things that are different. One of which being that the city is so compact, there's barely any room to breathe in a sense. There is a conjugation of houses everywhere you go. I don't know too much about the cultural events of the city but one would imagine it would have some sort of Mexican/Hispanic orientation to it because that is what the majority of the city consists of. There aren't a number of activities to be done in the city at that. The shopping mall doesn't have a lot of the big designers that most people out of town are used to having in their various cities. There aren't a lot of area attractions either. As far as safety; there have been a number of mugging & robbing of Albright students already this past semester alone. Locals attitude towards the students seems to be good and welcoming, well most of them are warm and welcoming of the students while others aren't. There just isn't much to do in Reading.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
