The only transportation we have are vans, which are reserved dominantly for school events, Here-And-There Transit, and self-owned vehicles. It's a small campus, but it would be nice to have a small shuttle to go with it.

Although I do not live on campus, the college has many entertaining events that they plan. Comedy shows, bands, etc. I've been to a few of these, and none of them have left me disappointed, for the good part!
From hearing a lot of people talk, most of the entertainment in this area is going to Lil Moe's and getting wasted on a nightly basis. That particularly isn't my kind of thing, and if you aren't into the bar scene and don't go out of town much, you won't find much to do around Alderson-Broaddus at night.

I've been a commuter student myself for all three years of college so far, so living off-campus is my thing. There isn't much apartment-wise, but if you have family in the area, it is the PERFECT way to commute.
However, Alderson-Broaddus doesn't put much consideration into their commuter students. Everything planned is later in the evening, so if you commute, you have to wait around for hours at a time just to participate in the events.

Nightlife is what students dislike about AB. It's a small, dry campus. So there isn't much going on. It issn't allowed, even if you're 21. Most students go to Morgantown when they want to go out. There are plenty of clubs and bars there.

I'm an education major, so I am a Student teacher, which is kind of an internship. You don't get paid, but it's good experience and helps you have experience! Athletic training and nursing are the same here; you're always in the field learning.

The process of getting into my English major was relatively easy. I didn't have to do a special application process when applying to the school. Once I was there, I just enrolled in English classes.

I am an English Education major and love it! At AB, you get the experience you're looking for. My first time observing in an actual classroom was my Freshman semester. Professors are already helping me with a portfolio to find a job ater school, too.

You're allowed to do as you please, with only a few rules. I personally love that it's a dry campus. The noise level is a lot less and it creates a good environment. Other than that, there aren't many rules that would affect us.

Since A-B is such a small school, everyone is involved and everyone is friends with everyone. We are all supportive of one another. The teams are new, so they aren't the greatest, but in coming years, I think they will win more often!

The Wifi could be a lot stronger. It doesn't reach the entire campus, and it kicks you off often. It hink with the expansion of the school, however, they will fix this problem soon.

As of right now, there aren't really any options for living off campus, unless you want to live with your parents.
College Sophomore 2013-01-28T16:35:56Z
A-B has added a lot of new sports programs recently including Men's Volleyball, Men/Women Lacrosse. Few more programs are gonna start sometime next year. This gives a lot of incoming students opportunities campus wide.

It gets really cold at times in mid-January with some snow. Classes don't really get cancelled.

As a biology major, I enjoy all my classes. The thing with college is you take the classes that you enjoy. Professors are really easy to get along with. The fact that it's a small campus, you can access them easily one on one.
College Sophomore 2013-01-28T16:31:12Z
It's not that challenging as long as you have good grades from high school, take into account your SAT/ACT scores.
College Sophomore 2013-01-28T16:30:13Z
There are a variety of majors at A-B. My goal is to get to a pharmacy school once I graduate from A-B and I have no doubt in my mind that this college will fully prepare me for grad school.

The challenges in getting into athletic training is very simple. One must do some clinical hours each semester and follow teams to learn if this is a good major for yourself. The Human Developement classes are the hardest but if you are able to learn the body it will help you through out the college experince. Pass certian class and hours are the criterea. And the one advice I would give to future students is to study hard and learn a way to learn and understand the material in their own way. Ask for HELP from fellow students they can help you more than the students.
College Senior 2012-12-31T18:11:43Z
Most of the teachers are very respectful and caring about your college success and your college experince. There are a few though that like to play favorites. If you would have a problem it is more less that you must find a teacher who cares and is willing to help. I have enjoyed A-B but it was because of the friendships that you make up here. You will learn how to be a productive Athletic Trainer.

With the experiences, I would probably do another major in mathematics. I have learned alot but am on edge because I am afraid of not being able to get into a the grad school I wish to attend. With the BOC being low passing rate it makes it harder. Hopefully the current sseniors can do better and improve the rep for Alderson-Broaddus Athletic Training.

The housing at Ab is very nice. There's decent space depending on which dorm you live in. The more costly dorms with the most space. Kincaid being the best with the apartment style dorms

There are a few small restaurants new the school, and they are okay. The better ones are in Clarksburg, which is about 30 minutes away.

Guys & Girls:
I think this campus is very diverse. We have some international students and students from all over the country.
College Sophomore 2012-11-28T16:44:36Z
This is a dry campus. No alcohol is allowed in dorms at all.
College Sophomore 2012-11-28T16:08:00Z
Some of the dorm amenities are old and needs to be replaced but other than that, it's a great environment to be in.
College Sophomore 2012-11-16T21:25:58Z
I love the small setting of the campus. The student to teacher ratio is outstanding.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
