Facilities Are OK – As far as facilities go at Hancock, the science facilities are awesome as well as the art theatre and facilities. We have newer science equipment, which is good for my major. The gym and field, I feel, need some work. The track is very old with alot of pot-holes, and the gym is pretty old. The student center is pretty comfortable to hang out in and the computer lab is a good place to get work done. I find the computer lab especially helpful in getting my work done.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
At Allan Hancock, I have attained financial aid; they were very helpful with giving instructions as far as how to get financial aid. The staff at Allan Hancock always reminded students of financial aid deadlines; so it was virtually impossible to forget unless it was on ones own poor timing and forgetfulness. I feel I pay the right amount of money for my education, and I know that the money will hopefully one day be worth it.

Career Center Helpful – In attending Allan Hancock College, I found that if one needed a job that there was plenty of jobs available at the Career Center. It is a little difficult to get into but if one is persistent you may be able to get a job. There are jobs available for certain fields, but I also feel that there could be more.

Academics Are Good – so far the professors ive had have been really nice and helpful. they have a good attitude and are positive people. some tak for hours but overall there classes have not been very challenging. the workload on some have been great! not impossible. registration for classes is ok. sometimes classes are filled when you want to register so you are on a waitlist.

A Good Choice – Allan Hancock seems like a last resort for most people in my position, but the fact is that this school is readily available to be utilized by all students involved in it. I am fortunate to have this opportunity and I plan on making the best of it.

The School Is Ok – the school in santa maria is pretty ok. parking in the mornings is hectick and i go there because most of the classes are offered there instead. the campus in lompoc needs more improvement. there are not that much classes we can take here. we need more buildings and more classes offered in the lompoc campus

Student body is great and is always trying to get more students involved in school.

Online Classes – I am actually enrolled in an online class right now(my first). So far its good. I havent really learned alot yet, because we are just starting but it definitley is a new expirience. I usually like a class setting more, because there seems to be less distractions, but i find it great because its more convinient.

Academic Flexibilty – Ive found that all the classes that i have taken here have been very flexible. The teachers that ive had have been awesome. Whenever i need to talk to them about my grade they are there to listen. Not all teachers are going to be great, but the ones that ive encountered are really good.

We great access with the internet here . The only reason why i need a personal computer is because i have online classes, but theres is enough at the school for us students.

Everything One Could Want. Allan Hancock College makes going there very easy - everything you could possibly need are available. The student center is a great hang out place, as well as features fairly good food and a nice place to study if you need to with a big group of friends. The library has nice areas for quiet study as well as larger rooms for quiet group study. The classrooms hold every one and the lab rooms are very easy to navigate around.

Less Classes = Harder Transfer Credit – The limited number of class variety in certain areas makes it hard to find ones that will transfer without the headache of petitioning the other college to accept the course.

Course Variety – Coming from a larger community college to a smaller one, the smaller available variety of courses made it difficult to find courses that transfer and meet the necessary requirements I need for graduation at the larger college.

Not Much Post-Grad – I haven't seen much in the way of post-grad interaction. The only thing I can think of is returning individuals who were in a club, and then came back to give a seminar.

There are quite a few ways to obtain resources at Allan Hancock. The primary way to get computer resources are at the Academic Resource Center. They not only have free computers for use, but tutors as well.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Easy Access – The funds required to go to schoolare fairly eazsy to obtain. The people in the financial aid department are helpful, and the directions they give are fairly easy to follow.

My School – My School is very helpful with everything that the students need. Wherever we are we can ask questions and everyone will know, not just some people. I like how i can rely on all the information the school gives me. It helps alot!

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Mostly Good Experience – I have only encountered one teacher, in which the class I truly felt I was not getting my moneys worth. Other than that, all the teachers are amazing and I feel I get a whole lot out of each class. I must say that the people at the financial aid office are usually pretty rude, and I leave there feeling pretty let down by the school.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
