More staff would be nice to help out instead of only having that limited resource of one or two people. You can't take your time with what you need and sometimes you don't learn anything.

It is behind in modern technology. The equipment that the students are learning on is not the same in the real world. It won't match up with the technology and equipment that will be used in you career. It doesn't give you an advantage it gives more of a disadvantage.

I like the online courses. The teacher or professor helps you more I think than in the class. The course is laid out specifically to your class. You can also work ahead on different assignments allowing those who are fast learners can keep going finish on your time.

The computers need to be updated. Wireless internet is hard to connect to. Printers are very slow and you can only print so many pages. There are computer labs but usually not much help there to help a student.

I hate taking notes and then memorizing them....in one class that's all we do ...I do not learn well this way

An acquired disability made online classes much harder than they were before. FSU instructor assigned much work.

Acceptable. Small school, so not too many options for classes, but what is offered has flexibility.

There is not many unique things at my school. The campus life is calm and quiet. We have a few dorms. My school is pretty plain and boring for me.
College Senior 2013-04-15T20:31:32Z
I haven't had to transfer any credits yet. The classes are pretty flexible and curriculum with some teachers is way to easy. I haven't had many hassles yet. Financial aid and business office are often difficult to deal with and don't correspond with each other over money issues. The dorms are nice but the curfew is a little too early and childish.

The online classes allow you the freedom to do the work on your own time and to fit them in when you can. We don't have a lot of online classes offered but overall the ones I have taken have been great. I love being able to learn on my own and not be pressured in a classroom. The workload is basically the same and sometimes the online class is more work than the regular in-school class. With the online classes I have had great teachers who communicate well with students. Some of my online classes have required you to post on the discussion board to interact with other students.

In the Human Service Program the workload is pretty heavy along with 3 internships and group assignments. We also attend numerous field trips through the 2 years:

Workload is average. Picking classes is easy, books are expensive. There are only a select few of online classes available and they fill up quickly.

I am a PRE Med-Lab Tech major, so I am not sure of just what is offered quite yet.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I receive a Pell Grant, MD part time student grant and a club scholarship, so all costs are covered and I receive a financial aid refund check. A vast majority of students are on financial aid.

I can print as much as I want at the library and the wifi around campus is pretty good on my iPod. I haven't needed the computer network further than this and have been satisfied.

ACM offers programs to get you into the workplace quickly.

Luckily, I haven't needed much more than my advisor. She's awesome and can solve most problems I have. If I were expecting more from this college I would be highly disappointed, but I realize it's in Cumberland, MD and ran accordingly.

I don't have much info on the alumni network or career center but many people that have attended my Human Service Program now have good jobs in that field.

There are a few computer labs that are usually accessible. Printing in the library is very simple and I have never had problems with that. The network speed is quick and wireless access is simple.

The athletic center isn't up-to-date, the student center doesn't have much to do. The library is very useful and has many great books and DVDs.

My School is pretty dynamic and adverse you have some students just coming out of high school not working strictly focused in school all the way to older students married with children who e been working for the last 20 years and just decided to go to school and everything in between

For the most part everyone is very helpful and easy to talk to although you go through rough patch were you don't really know what to do next if you ask it can be very helpful overall good experience. They really work with my work schedule as far as class times and extra help on assignments that may be needed
College Senior 2012-11-29T03:38:55Z
I have a difficult work schedule and have had some problems finding classes that work with my schedule so I have had to take a large number of online classes

I was a little nervous about taking online courses, but it was pretty easy once I got used to it. The workload was very challenging. You cannot procrastinate!

Mostly, my school is very diverse and consists of recent graduates along with working-class people with full-time jobs or families. While they are happy to socialize and make friends, this is not a priority.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
