some computer labs fill up quickly, but there are always others available. The library is small, but always seems to have what you need

Acedemic Flexibility – I knew what classes would transfer up front and what the requirements are for my intended major.

The library is of medium size. The athletic center is great with a wide range of things to choose from including an indoor and outdoor pool. The new dorms are spacious and located close to the heart of campus.

Ive found the teachers at this school to be very friendly and always willing to help you out with something if you dont understand. They are available for out of class questions.

I don't have anything unique about my school. It's a small college, known as the community college. I haven't involved myself in very many school functions, but I haven't really heard of any good ones either.

The Cost at ACM – The cost of tuition and fees have gone up, but still are affordable. There are plenty of scholarships available. If you have a pell grant and don't have housing, you might be completely covered.

Unique Living Arrangements – Unllike many colleges and universities our dormitories our four-bedroom apartments. Since our student body is very small it gives all students a better advantage to live comfortably, and which also helps the transition from home to college!

Not Face-To-Face – It was harder for me to take online courses because it was so much different not having the teacher there in front of me. The teachers do offer days to meet with you incase you are having trouble with the course or assignments and an online discussion board is available for the students to talk and discuss projects. Other than that, you are basically on your own throughout the course.

Easy Registration Process – Registering for classes was really easy. Everyone has an advisor that they can schedule time with, but you can go to practically anyone you want to for the registration process. This makes it convenient, easy, and less nerve racking.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Hard to Understand – The Financial Aid and Tuition Process is a little hard to understand, and because I don't go to the main campus, contacting the actual people in charge to ask my questions can be a little aggravating. There were not any problems receiving my financial aid awards though.

Not Enough Computers – The network of the college is fine, and printing is allowed, but only in black and white. The only real problem with the campus resources would be that there isn't enough computers. There is only two labs at the Bedford County Campus and one is taken up most of the day with class time.

Works Around You – It was very easy to schedule my classes because they gave me choices and allowed me to work around my daily life and job schedule. They also stressed that changes could always be made if something turned out to not work for me.

A Satisfied Student – I am happy with Allegany College of Maryland as my school of choice. It's in a friendly, rural environment that's close to home. I don't have to travel very far, and I know a lot of the student base. I wouldn't choose any other school for this time in my life.
