I receive guidance from teachers who know the material like the back of their hand. It is everything I thought it would be. The degree program is designed for my specific needs, and I love that.

For online students like me, a computer and printer is a necessity, 24/7. Their network is entirely reliable, I have never had a problem with it, and I can access my courses from any computer. It really is a great system.

Its all online, rich in material, and exceptional student support is what sets Allied American University apart from others. There is a staff like no other that supports individuals through their entire courses.
Allied American University gives a special opportunity for military and their dependents with their textbook grant, and their knowledge of military financial assistance programs. As a military spouse, those programs definitely helped me.

The online student resources center and library (ARC) provide a wealth of information to students. The library is phenomenal, it includes every thing from how to write a research paper to study tips, and to math advice.

So far my instructors have challenged me and made me a better student. I wish I could register for courses online and not have to go through someone at the school, but its not that big of a deal. At least I know I'm registering for the right classes.

The student population seems very diverse. Working professionals to stay at home mom's, even students serving in the military overseas.

Again, my college is 100% online. We do have access to an online library as well as we are provided with a text back or an etext book for the class. There is nothing else.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Tuition is very expensive. However the financial aid department is willing to help with any financial needs through grants and loans. Most of the students are somehow affiliated with the military, which means the financial aid department primarily deals with the GI Bill and tuition assistance.

We are able to learn at our own pace with minimal teaching. I've been in three different programs and they are all the same academically. Learninf here is reading lecture notes, PowerPoints, and textbooks.

I chose this school because I had gotten frustrated with the state college I had been attending, teachers often unorganized and not prepared, etc. At this school, teachers are prepared, knowledgeable and interact better with their students, The course schedule is very manageable and I am able to do other things as well as my studies. Before it was harder for me to get an answer when I was stuck on something, but now I get answers very quickly from the professors and staff.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education I am getting is well worth it. The financial aid office is very good and I have no problem going to them for questions when I have them. Any forms or information I need is sent promptly to me since I am usually on the phone with them when they send it. Even though I am getting TA with the Army, they have me file out the FAFSA form, which is a help if I want to do extra courses or something. One thing I would advise for others to be sure when you will need forms to be resigned, etc., and get it done ahead of time so you are not racing to get it done before the next semester starts and have to start the class late or wait until it begins again almost a month later.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
