Printing is a hassle on campus. Half the time the printers are not working and the other time they are out of paper. It also is a pain only getting a certain number of pages to print because we pay enough to go here so it makes no sense for us to have to pay extra. Wireless is also a pain to because you can not always access it.

Milwaukee is HUGE. But has a lot to offer. Right around Alverno you have the famous Miller Park which we all know is big attraction in the summer months with the Brewers. There is also beautiful views of lake Michigan and all the museums. There is never a dull moment in Milwaukee, especially with all the festivals in the summer. Alverno is a great school located in the center of all the best things Wisconsin has to offer.

They Actually Care – The financial aid process went really smoothly. Financial Aid plus grants from the government and my school, plus my scholarship covered all of my tuition and some of my housing. Right now I'm on a very flexible payment plan. But if you need help, don't be afraid to ask, they really want to help you. The faculty really makes you feel like an actual person, not just a number of a student in a school.

I absolutely love this school. What sets us apart is that we are all females, we dont follow a regular grade scale. They grade us on specific abilities that are necessary to have in the real world. I would recommend this school to any woman who would like to be empowered, and educated well. It's truly an amazing education and a good experience.

Living on Campus – The dorms at Alverno College in Austin Hall for freshman are pretty standard. The dorms at Clare Hall are a little more classy and better equipped. But either way, living on campus is a great experience all around.

The Atmosphere – The area is very quite and great for a college like Alverno. It helps you stay focused and not be distracted by the activities going on outside the class.

My school is unique because its able to deliever effective learning skills that we can apply to our daily life. But I don't think I would choose this school again if i could do it over again because the tuition is expensive and commute can be a hassle.

The food is expensive. There are not many student discount in the campus. One of the best places is The Mug.

It's a private school. Not much attractions but there are a lot of on going activites in the school. Some cultural events. About 3 security surrounding the campus keeping the students safe. You need to take the bus to southridge mall which isn't that bad. Lots of sports.

Quick and Easy – Many times during the week Alverno hosts a variety of activities in the basement of one of the dorms called The Mug. The activities include anything from bands performing to comedy shows. It gives those who live on campus a chance to enjoy nightlife without paying for it or having to leave the grounds.

Small class sizes make it hard for acceptance because of openings.

Park It! Parking is free. There is a bus line 3 blocks from campus and bus fair is cheap. Gas is a little bit above average but again parking is free and easy to find as well as near class and dorms.

A Life Away from Campus – The night life near campus is not too exciting, you live near 27th st which has many stores and dining places as well as coffee shops and fast food. The bad part of this is most of these things close by 10 or 11. If you are 21 there are so many things to do in the city about 15-20 minuets away from campus just not near by. If you are under 21 there are plenty of things to do near and not near campus; movie theater, bowling, coffee shops, stores, hookah bars, arcades, gyms, etc. Overall if you are will to travel a bit then you will always find something to do in the city.

Easy, Relaxed – The process for applying was simple. I don't remember if we had to do an essay and if we did, it was relatively easy. They also didn't make me answer questions that didn't matter and were irrelevant.

Reliable, Interactive,Convenient – The people who work around campus are all very willing to help out everyone whenever they can. There aren't many lines so i never have to wait to talk to my adviser.

Enjoyable, Nice, Comfortable – The people here are all mostly enjoyable. There can be a lot of interaction and activities for citizens around the area.

Large Variety – There is a lot of programs at Alverno college over 50 majors and minors. I enjoy it, because it gives me a lot of options. The workload is acceptable and there is plenty jobs opportunity available.

I attended Alverno college unaware of their whole curriculum. Their whole curriculum is based off what employers thought that made good employees. The registration process is quite simply. You can get a huge workload and the popular study area is NURSING.

Not to far from Alverno, there is a strip mall. Not to far from the strip mall is Kohl's department store. There is a lot of fast food restaurants. Everyone is quite respectful and open to the local college students.

The campus is small and easy to get around. The people are very friendly. You are on a first-name basis with your professors. TThe environment is very comforting and a great place to study.

Guys & Girls:
I believe that the women at alverno are more mature than high school kids. They They are not preppy and stuck up like they may have been. They are very friendly and want to make new friends.

Like my high school, Alverno is extreamly diverse. There were people from different countries, there were colored people, people of different religions. The only thing I'm not positive about is the sexual orientation.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
