There really is not a drug scene on campus, mostly because the administration and residence life staff is pretty strict and will lay the smack down on anyone caught with drugs. The only "drug" allowed on campus is alcohol. And, even then, there are strict conditions under which students may have it. Alverno is considered a dry campus, except for students 21 and older. Still, students who are "of age" must drink in their rooms with their doors shut, and if their roommate cannot legally drink, they are not allowed to drink while their roommate is present in the room.
Wine and other liquors are served at various dances and social events put on by the Alumnae Association and PAGE Board, but these events are quite few, and they need to get a special permit from the school. The campus is also smoke-free because the College wants its students to learn to have healthier lifestyles. Even though there are rumors of pot being on campus, marijuana is rare.

None Seen
Alverno is a small private college with a lot of non-traditional students. If drinking or smoking occurs it is somewhere far away from campus
