Facilities on campus are small but clean, and students are often asked for their input to make areas such as the Commons or fitness center more student friendly. As the student body continues to grow at Alverno, so do the facilities. There are also plenty of campus events. Every Tuesday and Wednesday night, there are events in The Mug. There's also a program called Alverno Presents, where the College brings all kinds of musicians, actors, and small productions to campus. And if you sign up to usher or work at the box office, you can get in for free!
On the negative side, Alverno is a commuter school, so most of the students don't live on campus, and even those who do often go home on weekends. So things can get really boring if you are stuck on campus for a weekend. However, the fitness center and library have weekend hours. Also, the campus is well defined with massive signs all over, so regardless of where you're approaching Alverno from, it is easy to find the campus. It is also beautiful here; the green space and flowers during the spring, summer, and autumn are gorgeous and well-kept!
