A lot of girls who live on campus don’t have cars, but there is always someone to give you a lift wherever you need to go. There are also a few bus lines near the Alverno campus that run in several different directions and can get students wherever they need to go as long as they have the time to sit on the bus. The bus routes can seem confusing, but once students become familiar with the schedule and know how the process works, it is quite easy. Milwaukee is continuing to cut the amount of bus lines, so taking the bus will continually become harder. Plus, Milwaukee is so spread out that a bus system really may not be the answer.
Downtown is essentially where all the other forms of transportation are: mega bus, Amtrak, and, the most consistent of all, the bus lines. The airport is located on the south side of Milwaukee and is easy to maneuver. Lots of students also ride bikes if they live in nearby neighborhoods, such as Bay View or Greenfield. This, of course, is only great during the spring, summer, and beginning of autumn. The best transportation methods truly change depending on the season.

Park It!
Parking is free. There is a bus line 3 blocks from campus and bus fair is cheap. Gas is a little bit above average but again parking is free and easy to find as well as near class and dorms.

Alverno Transportation
The good thing about Alverno is that it is on a bus line and it's convenient.

We should have a free bus pass
I think we should have a pass to get free busing in Milwaukee like other colleges around the area have. That would be helpful, even though I have a car.
Milwaukee County Transit System
Students can pick up bus schedules by Austin Hall’s lobby or in the Alverno bookstore.
