Campus is very tidy and clean but would be nice to have more services such as a cafeteria and more community involvement

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Amarillo College's financial aid tuition and the process it takes for them to complete student's requests are done in a very timely fashion and when they say they will release the rest on a certain date best believe it will be rewarded.

I think that the online classes are a whole lot manageable, convenient, and saves a lot of time and gas, plus you get more family time at home. The only classes for me that are a little hard and less understandable are the biology classes but the rest are pretty easy and negotiable.

The professors here at Amarillo College work hard to help their students achieve their goals and expectations every day. They always come to class with a smile on their face and ready to teach no matter what kind of day they are having. There are a lot of special study options and are used frequently by about 90 percent of the student body. For instance, there is a Writer's Corner for anyone who is struggling with learning how to write an essay or book report, etc. It also has a Math Outreach center for students with any problems and any level of math that they need tutoring on. Amarillo College is very unique when it comes to their students success and academic goals.

The campus has so many resources for their students and mainly keeps the campus open to accomodate students throughout their career and it very interesting. They have an Adult Student Service Center, Activity center, athletic center, alot of campus activities, and alot of tutoring labs. Best school I have ever considered even in enrollment in and they have been around a very long time. Keep up the hard work and your wonderful professors and you have reached out and touched alot of lives...

Amarillo College is a wonderful community college because they have many academic programs and they also have a whole lot of activities for students to enjoy. This school also has clubs to join that helps others with their success and helps you as an individual become self sufficient. There are a lot of opportunities here to enjoy and look forward to as a student and employee. Campus life is wonderous and other students are full of compassion and kindness and are there at any time when in need of a helping hand. I love it here at Amarillo College and I would recommend this community college to anyone that wants success and fun in life.

The staff and different departments work with their students to the fullest extent and there is nothing they do not offer to make your stay at Amarillo College the best junior college in Texas.

I haven't taken very many classes at AC yet, but so far I have had to best, most intelligent, most disciplined, most caring, and most experiences professors I could ask for.

Campus resources are exceptional for a community college. You have to pay to use the gym, but that's okay because tuition is low.

A year ago I would have given Amarillo College an a+ in this category, but things have changed. The printing process is confusing and difficult, needing to pre pay for a card, log in to a different computer and find your print job. Also, I was technically a current student, but not taking classes one semester. When I tried to go to the computer lab and sign up for classes for the next semester I was not allowed to use the computers!!!

Amarillo College is an awesome school with the most helpful, dedicated staff I've met so far. They genuinely care about your grades, classes, and future. I don't want to stop going to this school.

The college is very accepting of everyone. There is a diverse mix of all ethnicities and ages and everyone is accepted. Assistance is given to anyone who needs it to ensure everyone has the possibility of higher education.

The college has great recourses. It has a nice gym and work out classes, there's lots of campus activities and the libraries and student center are very helpful. My favorite activity would be the June Jazz, they have a jazz band play music in the evenings and its open to the public.

The computer network is exceptional. They allow you to use these resources for anything you may need. The speed and reliability of the network is always working wonderfully. The computer lab even allows you to print out papers free of charge! The only draw back is that sometimes there is a line and you have to wait to use them.

The staff at Amarillo College is truly dedicated to seeing every student succeed. If there is something in the college experience you don't understand they we go out of their way to make sure you are directed to the proper resources that will make everything manageable. As a single mother the aid, scholarship and assistance programs they have in place r exceptional to help make going back to school possible for me.

I think this is definitely one of the best programs for medical laboratory technology (AAS). The workload is very intense, but your classmates and instructors are like having a support group of sorts. Clinical facilities are numerous and varied in size. I have heard that many graduates from this program go on to snag jobs in bigger cities from the graduates there!

While things can feel hectic with the loads of information we have to cram into 2 years, my instructors do an impressive overall job of coordinating everything that needs to be done while still considering the needs of their students. I take all of my tests online and have never had a problem with any of the online modules or other resources. (We are, however, switching from Angel to Blackboard this summer so hopefully it will be a relatively seamless transition).

They use to have a cafateria but because of budget reasons shut it down. If they opened it back up with a good selection of healthy organic foods and meals, then students would be fueled enough to continue rigorous studies. Instead they have a junk machine that gives you a candybar.

I've had an extremely difficult time with school. Not the learning part or trying to be in class but rather the part of being able to be there without exterior stress. Worrying about whether or not you'll be eating in the morning constantly, whether or not I could be capable of walking back and forth that day, and trying to keep calm about every minor thing in life makes being at school difficult. My teachers have afforded me the ability to catch myself up and keep up to date when I've been absent.

Diversity consists on the different levels at which students will not try to accomplish things. They believe that the classroom is an ultimate tool to their education. Hindering themselves from extra involvement outside of the classroom. Typically very few students sustain their studies with supplimentary information. As far as diversity goes, well, they are a diverse bunch of children from the diffent ethnic groups present in Amarillo. Hoping to be "eddicated" and sucessful money makers.

It seems more like an entity than a school. When you are really struggling and are looking for a framiliar face to talk to or discuss your work; that's when you feel all alone. Surrounded by gluttony.

they need a lot of work. i have heard of people getting F in all online classes and amarillo college wouldnt take the grade back, they have to pay for the class again. i have done a couple, most of the problems are some program error and mostly user error. you really have to get a teacher that cares or you will fail.

pretty decent with transfer of credits, not so good about some of the office, they dont seem to help much and financial aid place is a dead zone of feelings.
