The student population consists of people fresh out of high school trying to transfer to a four year university.

I have not graduated from this college so I have not had an experience with this.

Its designed well and all it takes is effort from the students.

Professors aren't very flexible on late homework but other than that they are great

The labs are great and almost every building has a computer lab for all the students to use.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Tuition is much cheaper than other alternatives, such as the four-year university in the next town.
The FA department is super helpful and financial assistance is really easy to apply for at AC.

We're a two-year community college, but our journalism program, our nursing program, our theatre program and the various art programs are top notch.
Also, because of our massively diverse community, the college has an equally diverse student body - both in regards to ethnicity and age.

There are literally open computer labs in every building. You can print in most labs for free or a small fee. And the wifi is exceptional.

There are many resources on campus. Carter Fitness Center offers a variety of classes and things like Badger Fit nights. Lynn Library has multiple work stations and computers, a lab where you can print docs and helpful staff. There are many computer labs on each campus that are open to students. The advising staff usually goes above and beyond to help students that are interested in helping themselves. Community Link provides resources to students who need help getting started and may need things like ESL and GED prep classes.
The only thing that the campus lacks is better food service. This was especially noticeable during recent extreme weather. A handful of vending machines just doesn't cut it and it's a pain to have to decide if something from the machines will suffice or if it's worth losing your parking space to go off campus for sustenance.

I feel that Amarillo College is a perfect community college and I started here in January 2010. I love it here and I have had no issues with anyone either that includes classmates and Professors. I need for everyone to understand that Amarillo College has changed my life in so many ways and I walk the stage on May 10th 2013. I am going to miss this college so much and for so very many reasons. If you are looking for a wonderful, affordable, friendly atmosphere please choose Amarillo College and I owe it all to my favorite Professors of all time, Professor Farmer, Professor Johnson, Professor Uselding, and the entire Engineering Department, I love you all and will always come visit!!!!

Overall the classes provided are good enough to help the students get through their basic classes needed for their career. The teachers are willing to help any student needing help in the material they teach. Then the best part is the low prices on the classes. It is an affordable college for anyone that wants to get started in a career.

I haven't had any frustrations with the school since I started. The student life, faculty, and grounds are all nice to be around.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The process to file for financial aid is ok, and the price of tuition, but the price of books is to high for only using them for a semester and you get nothing back for book buy back.
College Junior 2013-01-07T23:25:28Z
the students really care about others and try to come up with new ways to help others
College Junior 2013-01-07T23:22:56Z
I have a good experience with my classes so far, good teachers and the people are willing to work with whatever gets in your way.

The computer network is pretty good. I don't have to worry about stuff getting turned in late or stuff not being received. As for the wireless usage, I find it very easy to access. I never really have any problems with the school network.
College Sophomore 2012-12-31T11:13:50Z
There is a wide range of people from different backgrounds that attend the school. Everyone interacts with each other and makes it easy to start up study groups.
College Sophomore 2012-12-31T11:08:59Z
I chose this school because of the reasonable cost of tuition, the welcoming atmosphere, the flexible schedule, and the teachers. I checked out a lot of Universities, but none of them compare to Amarillo College. They are real good with working with you on class schedules, one on one help, financial aid situations, and extra curricular activities.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
