The college is very accepting of everyone. There is a diverse mix of all ethnicities and ages and everyone is accepted. Assistance is given to anyone who needs it to ensure everyone has the possibility of higher education.
The college has great recourses. It has a nice gym and work out classes, there's lots of campus activities and the libraries and student center are very helpful. My favorite activity would be the June Jazz, they have a jazz band play music in the evenings and its open to the public.
The computer network is exceptional. They allow you to use these resources for anything you may need. The speed and reliability of the network is always working wonderfully. The computer lab even allows you to print out papers free of charge! The only draw back is that sometimes there is a line and you have to wait to use them.
The staff at Amarillo College is truly dedicated to seeing every student succeed. If there is something in the college experience you don't understand they we go out of their way to make sure you are directed to the proper resources that will make everything manageable. As a single mother the aid, scholarship and assistance programs they have in place r exceptional to help make going back to school possible for me.
I think this is definitely one of the best programs for medical laboratory technology (AAS). The workload is very intense, but your classmates and instructors are like having a support group of sorts. Clinical facilities are numerous and varied in size. I have heard that many graduates from this program go on to snag jobs in bigger cities from the graduates there!
