I feel your pain MercMan. I'm in the same boat. Worst investment I've ever made. They are teaching outdated material and their idea of job "placement" assistance is nothing more than sending their grads a bunch of links to job sites - the same links they send to the other hundreds (thousands?) of unemployed grads. Obvious links I would have found on my own anyways. There is no real "placement" of any kind. Don't be fooled by their pitch. Further, if you don't already know someone in the biz, your chances are nil that you will ever break into the radio biz. They won't tell you that until your job search results in nothing but frustration. Then they blame it on YOU not being "aggressive" or "upbeat" enough. Utter nonsense. The 2-year loan default rate runs between 72 and 80 percent for FY2008 thru FY2010 according to the nslds.ed.gov statistics. That tells me the opportunity for employment is EXTREMELY low. Wish I had done my homework! Now I'm on the hook for repaying thousands of dollars and no income to repay it with. If you're really bent on a radio job, hook up with a school that requires an apprenticeship while you're in school. They are out there! You'll get to know some people in the industry and have much better odds of getting your foot in the door. Their internet-based program is totally worthless and should not be accredited. Radio stations want people who have experience with the equipment. You won't get that from any online program. Further, I suspect the A+ grades for ABS here are being entered by CURRENT students, not those who have graduated and have begun their job search. That's when reality hits...

Good points all around. You have to be connected. Clearly, this school misleads potential students. Not to mention, charges an enormous amount of money for the same instruction you could get at a community college, that offers that program, for a fortune less.
