It is a college that prepares you to get right to work. But it is a lot more to the student in how they decide to take advantage of the time spend in school.

All of the students are very friendly, it is a very comfortable atmosphere. Some of the instructors are very friendly while others are just plain rude. All of the administrators are helpful but rude at the same time, I don't see why they should act this way if we are the one paying for school and helping them make all the money they make.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I found the process for financial aid very simple to complete. I honestly see that I am getting my moneys worth.

You encounter great teachers but not all are great helpful or respectful.

I am fairly new , but one thing I liked is the classroom set up. its a recreated surgery department, hospital room , or optical dispending area . Dessigned to make give you a feel of the real life environment .

The campus is located in a good area. Located near freeway . Staff is very polite and always great . Classrooms are a good size , and teachers are magnificent . The only down part is parking. Students have no parking structure with in, the lot is far and need to use a shuttle transportation, walk or either park in street .

There is very good acceptance of diversity in my school, i think everyone gets along really well no matter their background.

They try to work with your scheduled as much as possible, but there are limits to your flexibility

They're there if you need them, but you usually have to take the first step.

Its an advanced learning experience. They take the extra time to make sure you understand and when you don't they try to find ways to help you get a better understanding.

The library is quite small but there is always tutoring and the teachers are always ready to help you with advancing and preparing for Nclex

There are not to many computer labs available and the it seems like there are always issues with either the computer or printers. ITs always a problem

I have taken an online course before and I did like it. You get to do things on your own time

Teachers are wonderful at this campus. The sites that you do your clinicals are very good and you get so much hands on. I was able to be at the VA for first term and then for 2nd and 3rd term I was at usc where I got to see the hosipital aspect and experience different patients. I am currently at a acute hospital and am getting a lot of experience on wound treatment. I am really enjoying what im doing. However I think the staff at ACC needs a little improvement. They are not as organized as they should be.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I feel the tuition and fees will be well worth certification in my career field. Although the whole cost of tuition is not covered by financial aid and loans i'm and dedicated to succeeding so i don't mind the monthly out of pocket fees.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The tuition are costly but its worth it. I trust the people that are giving me the right education. Financial aid helped me alot it covered my tuition which I pay back a few thousands. Bring all the correct papers because if you don't you'll be coming in the financial aid officd up and down.

My specific major is getting certified as an optician. To me it is very interesting because its straight forward, there are no other classes that are related to optical dispensing. So far my experience in American Career College has not be regretful. Im very proud to be here because not only have I learned alot but this process is also helping me make my future career brighter. In my college they're called externships which allow you to go out into the field you have chosen and get hands on working experience. The way you complete the externship is by doing hours and its a month long if they like you they hire you.

At American Career College in long beach they offer dental assistance, medical assistance, medical billing/coding, and my choice of academic study which is optical dispensing. The instructors here are excellent. They not only provide us with the right information and make learning more easy , they also give one on one time for those who go to them in need of aid. In the optical dispensing class the work load is steady yet somewhat difficult but can be done with ease if reviewed, studied, and remembered. The classes are fairly small which allows the instructors to interact more with their pupils. The registration process was fast and easy. The administration advisors are willing to go to far lengths in order to enroll students in the college if there are any complications. My opinion of this school is that I like it and its better than a community college even though its costly it is still worth it.
