Digital Media instructor was great!!!!!!

I don't know about the person who reviewed before me but I think you should think maybe it was lack of doing your work that leads you to have such a bad review. I also had Jen (not jenn) Almeida as an instructor and I have to say she is awesome. In those years of experience that the other poster wrote about where she didn't use 3DS Max solely, she used Maya, SoftImage, SolidWorks, Cinema 4D, 3D Coat, Zbrush and so many others. And i know this because she brought them into class to show us! It was great. We learned above and beyond the curriculum BECAUSE she knew 3D, Video, GRaphics, Web and Game Design and could tie it all together in actual lessons. We got to give our feedback on class work and projects in the moment and she made it change for us so that we were doing what the industry was doing at the time and getting what we wanted and needed.

Right now I am working as a freelancer but I have done a bunch of 3D work. Before I went to this program I was working at McDonalds making minimum wage and smelling like fries every day. Now I have a business that I am building using what I learned at school and from my teacher. She is the best and I owe who I am today from her. And she was right. The work I put into my education paid me back. If I didn't want to put that work in I shouldn't do it. But if I did want to do it, and work hard, then I would succeed. So, sour grapes before me, sounds like you need to go back to school!

It upsets me to read this stuff online that trashes a great teacher because someone obviously fialed and now they have toi blame everyone else for their failure. Jen Almeida is a teacher I know I can always go back to for advice and mentoring because that is the way she is. And I know she will always be honest with me and work with me for the best of my future. And I know that she knows her stuff. She proved it every day in class. And now I can compare it to what I see in the real world as a professional.
