I was a little scared about going to a college all online. But here I am a few months away from having my associates degree. This school is the best option for me being a Single Parent with a Special needs child. I can work on my homework on my time at my pace. My advisors are always helpful and have a great line of communication between me and my professors and other students. My only harder than I would like aspect is the group projects. I would prefer to just work on them on my own since in most cases it's just me or me and someone else doing the whole project that 5-7 people will get credit for.

The library, M.U.S.E, and lab lack the resources needed to complete my assignments outside of the live chat.

need better online resources for completing the assignments

I wish the live chat sessions lasted longer than an hour, and that they correspond to the assignments.

My classes have people from different backgrounds.

Mostly, my school consists of people that don't have the time to go to a traditional college or university. My fellow students are busy parents, people with full-time jobs, or people that have already established a career and choosing to further their education or switch careers.

I am majoring in Business Administration and the curriculum is what I had expected. All of my classes have been business related or supported a business degree. The workload is consistent and challenging enough to where you learn and feel that you accomplished the objectives of each class.

With being an online school, you are able to maintain a fulltime job, family life, and activities with your children. There are live chats with the professor at least once a week, but if you cannot make it they are all archived for your convenience.

The library is very easy to use and the librarians are very helpful. The whole campus is easy to get around and the virtual commons has many clubs and activities to meet the needs of many students. The announcements on the main page are also very helpful.

After Admissions, you are allowed access to the online virtual campus where it provides you with guided and explicit tours of the entire facility including the labs, library and resources. Nothing could be simpler.

There are so many resources at AIU. Tutors, learning labs, live chats, and all of them help so much.
College Senior 2012-12-19T09:42:16Z
I have really enjoyed my experience thus far. I am constantly learning, even in classes that I thought would be a waist of time. The teachers at AIU have a way of grabbing your attention and helping you learn.
College Senior 2012-12-19T09:38:44Z
The flexibility is amazing at AIU. I never have the same schedule at work, and I have a 3yr old son. I am able to spend time with him, work full time, and still get all my school work done throughout the week. Every live chat, for anything, is recorded. It can be watched later on if it is missed, and when I have questions about anything, the instructors contact you back right away.

I have noticed that most people in my school are also juggling families and jobs. There are many clubs to meet the same types of people that are juggling the same things as you.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
too much importance on getting the money first not the importance of educating the student to be a future of AIU going out into the world respresenting the greatness of the university

you have 5 weeks and many of the teacher are too strict with no patience and understanding of the students struggles

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I have had a few problems with the financial aid department. The main thing is finding out the times I would be recieving my money for school, and knowing how it would work toward my payments for tuition, and everything else.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
