I'm a Business/Healthcare major and some of the classes are new to me. Although it can be challenging, I can get by with the help of other students, faculty and professors. After all, Everyone wants me to succeed!

Most students are excellent when it comes to work/family issues. Most students want to achieve the same goals and it's better to work together.

I don't know about the social scene, facilities, or campus life since I am taking classes online

I had no problems transferring my Associate degree credits. All of my credits transferred over. The convenience of studying on my own time is such a plus. I like being able to schedule my study time around my personal time.

The professors are wonderful. They seem to be so caring and don't treat me like a number. The registration process was pretty simple. The only problem I have had is with my Student Adviser. I don't feel that she responds to me in a timely manner. I had a Student Educator with my first class and she responded to me within 24 hours but my Student Advisor doesn't seem to respond to me for a couple of days.

I am an accounting major but I haven't had to take any accounting classes, yet. I took a class to learn my way around the classroom and my second class is English composition which will help me with my communication skills in the professional workplace.

The workload is perfect. I can always finish my work before it's due. The professor's are very accommodating. If you have an emergency come up, they will work with you. I like the live chats that happen once a week. They seem to always help me with my work.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The reason why I'm looking for funding is due to AIU not working with me to take at least some of my previously earned 48 credits, which made them greedy to use up all of my financial aid.

It is normal that you will get some professors that you just can't see eye to eye with. Overall, they still keep it academically professional.

I haven't graduated yet so I haven't had any experiences in this field.. I have looked around in the online career center and I believe it would be a great tool in helping graduates

The workload wasn't too bad and I really liked the fact that I didn't have to go into a classroom where I might be made to feel out of place because of my age. It also helped me with time management skills because I didn't feel stressed by having a teacher standing over my shoulder. The online classroom gave me the time to enjoy my family, hobbies but still it gave my guidelines in getting my work done

The majority of the students that I have met are very friendly and helpful. With this being an online school there are many different types of students from housewives to career people. Although there is some socializing through facebook we are there to get an education to advance either a career or get a new one.

The lesson plan is specific to the field you are studing.

The online campus has opened up a world full of diversity. The classes are offered to students overseas as well as in the US.
College Senior 2013-07-16T20:29:07Z
AIU is constantly changing the online working environment which only confuses students and causes frustration.
College Senior 2013-07-16T20:25:44Z
I am attending AIU via online classroom so do not know the physical appearances or aspects of each department or the campus itself. However, AIU does have a comparable library, classroom instruction and other student resources to brick and mortar colleges and universities that I have attended previously.
College Senior 2013-07-15T13:05:48Z
The only issue I have ever had was the migration to the new classroom format which still has a few minor bugs that are being worked out.
College Senior 2013-07-15T13:04:47Z
I chose AIU because of its online curriculum. I needed a flexible schedule that allowed me to review class materials discussed. I LOVE this school!
College Senior 2013-07-15T13:01:40Z
AIU offers many resources and reference materials that are easy to use and always available.

Although I have not had the pleasure of attending personally, the Career Services department is regularly offering seminars, presentations, and information on internships and resume building. Much of the information is available for students to review when they can.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
AIU has been very helpful trying to accommodate my portion of my tuition. Although I have received FASFA and Pell Grants there was still a balance that I have been working to pay off. Their fees seem to be inline with other schools and everyone has been extremely helpful.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
