American Jewish University Off-Campus Housing was reviewed by ebennun

You have to be 21 or over, or have over 60 credits, to live off campus. There are apartment buildings on campus as well, which you can rent after you turn 21. The availabilty of becoming a commuter is extremely accessible and comfortable, as this school is located in the middle of the city and the valley. You can live in Beverly Hills or Sherman Oaks and still get to school in ten minutes.

American Jewish University Majors was reviewed by ebennun

I am a psychology major, which automatically gave me THE BEST advisor and head of major. This woman is also my professor for all of the psychology classes I take, which is amazing. I enjoy every single class I take, whether it has to do with my major or not. None of my classes are boring nor are they tedious, I truly get excited walking into even my democracy class, which may be hard to believe. I would do it all over again!

American Jewish University Drug Safety was reviewed by ebennun

There will always be someone doing drugs or drinking, anywhere you go. But at this school, there is no peer pressure and no one will treat you differently if you don't do drugs or drink. I, personally, do not drink or do drugs, and I learned to have a wonderul time without them! Especailly because there are such fun activities on campus throughout the week and weekends.

American Jewish University Scholarships was reviewed by abbysamuels

The financial aid process went decently smooth. MASA, an organization supporting groups in Israel gave everyone on the program a grant for signing up prior to a certain date. Other than that, this program did not offer a ton of financial aid.

American Jewish University Facilities was reviewed by abbysamuels

Young Judea Year Course- Inside Scoop – I'm taking this first year of college to explore a country and get college credit at the same time. I'm learning a lot and have great teachers. Socially, its a small group so everyone gets really close with one another. I see the same people in all of my classes. We take trips together to different parts of the country to see first hand what we have learned that week in class. These same kids I go out with on the weekends and go on other trips such as camping or to stay a night in a new city. The facilities available are mediocre, but they satisfy my needs. The classrooms are simple and small, but perfect for the class sizes. I live about a 20 minute walk from my friends apartments, but can easily take a bus. I see who i want to see every day. There are unique opportunities every day to explore and learn about Israel. For example, today, on the anniversary of the assassination of former Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin, we took a trip to the place he got shot, and learned about his life. After we went and paid our respects at his memorial in Tel Aviv. Rather than sitting in a classroom only and learning about this from a textbook, we went to the place and learned hands on.
