The great thing about my school is right when you get there as a first year student you can start auditioning for everything which at different schools won't let you till your second year.

The student body is diverse and open minded. The people are from all kinds of backgrounds, but they are passionate people.

This school is set apart in many way. The students are friendly, the campus is small and for it to be so close to hollywood. I really didn't expect the students to be so layed-back. The teachers are very hands on with their educating and the kenostetic teaching styles help me, personally, to learn for the class. The demanding schedule help me stay focus and the supposrt of the staff is a motivating factor. In this facility I'm more than an I.D number I'm person and I'm a representation this school. I'm proud to be apart of this community that is AMDA

The campus facilities are in good shape. The studios and library are obviously not brand new, but it is very easy to navigate and the staff are friendly. The rooms serve their purposes.

The campus has wifi for students to use. The staff are very reliable and puctual with e-mailing students back with problems or conscerns. The computer network isn't perfect but it runs great!

The flexibility of this school is open to a certain degree I mean I wish it wa a little more flexibility. But this school runs a tight ship which is what I think you would definietly want in a school if yofur trying to be in the industry. You go to school everyday and you work hard on your craft with homework and rehsals and studies. Theres not alot of free time but its worth it in the end as you will be getting professional work in the arts industry after you graduate.

The vine building is where we have all our resources such as computers and rehersal spaces for students such as actors and dancers. Its were we as the students of the arts go to practice and really sharpen our skills as soon to be working professionals.

The academics at my performing art school amda is superb. The teachers prepare you for the reality of the business of the arts which comes with hard work rejection and getting back up everyday and trying again. There's a personal relationship you build with your teachers as they really want to shape your attributes as an artist to the best possible for professional work. There has been numerous student alumni that have graduated from this school and have become succesful in the field.

I have not yet graduated so I am unsure of this topic

Sometimes, it is difficult to get in contact with my adviser, but when I do get in contact with her, she is very helpful. AMDA is the school of my dreams, so the fact that most of my credits didn't transfer wasn't awful

The professors are really there for you, but at the same time, you have to get yourself involved in the campus and the campus life there.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
This school I admit is super expensive to go too and they keep raising the price each year a little more. I have gotten a little financial help from the school , but not enough to help me keep going without a few jobs outside the school. I am recently taking a semester off and working full time so I can have enough money to get myself through the next four semesters.

Lots of the kids are very accepting to each other because we are all after the same thing. Of coarse there are some people that think they are better then everybody, but they just have a lot of confidence in my opinion. But all around this school is great.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I understand the level of dedication and hard work that must be given by the students however, for someone who is not from the country, the tuition is really expensive and sometime is a headache indeed.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Tuition here is a LOT. At the beginning I felt like I should of just went to a normal university, but truth of the matter is this school offers majors in our passions and BFA's which means we get to get a degree and no other school offers that. We learn so much that you have no choice but to Be prepared when you step out into the world and get ready to audition and land parts. So yes this education is worth it. The financial aid people are ready to help to. No one here wants to see anyone have to put there dreams on hold because of money.

We don't have sports, but we do have a lot of clubs that you may be interested in. Everything from body classes in the morning like yoga, and conditioning, to dance classes that students lead etc. I love the fact that I as a student can request reaching my own class if I want to. Our library is pretty amazing. It holds all kinds of plays, and music for musical theatre students. All in all minus a few minute flaws our campus flows pretty nicely and you can find pretty much everything you need here.

The fact that this is a performing arts school is amazing. You don't feel afraid to be different here because we're all artist. Everyone is accepting. The campus life isn't so bad. The piazza is my favorite. Being in sunny L.A. It's nice to be able to sit out there and study and what not. I love the fact that your teachers are probably going to be the ones to give you your first jobs, so it's wise to aim to be a great student. You never know who your teacher knows.

The computer labs and networks aren't too bad. They definitely work about 90% of the time. The printer is used a lot so it's best not to wait the day of to print something because odds are it won't work. The wifi in the dorms are horrible. Which is why it gets an A-.
College Junior 2013-02-15T00:41:27Z
The professors are great. The curriculum is well put together. The class registration process is fine as long as you start early looking into your options and requirements. The workload is manageable as long as you actually do the work and do not wait till the last minute. There are also always rooms open for studying and practicing all things like piano, dance, voice, and acting.
College Junior 2013-02-15T00:31:32Z
The classes are medium to small sized, so no matter what classes you get, you still feel like you are getting a valuable one-on-one session. Each instructor here is still working in the business, so they have nothing but relevant information and training to give you. I love how much knowledge I am gaining and this is just my first semester.

The Musical Theater program is such a rigorous but rewarding program. The faculty is a blessing to work with. They are talented and treat you as colleagues, not as students. They also have so many great things to pass onto you and care about you as a person, not just if you pass or fail. The program is intense. Courses include acting, musical theater, voice lessons, four dance classes, voice and speech, and film lab. Rehearsal and studying outside the classroom is essential. What you get out of it is what you put into it. It is also a great thing to watch how others improve over the semester.

The resources here are excellent. The student library is available to all students, staff, and alumni. There are thousands of songs in their database that you can purchase for $1; perfect for last minute auditions! There is also a large directory of play scripts, musical librettos, movies, and soundtracks. Printers are available for up to ten pages free, and the copy machine is right down the hallway for five cents a copy. The library often provides free or discounted tickets, which is posted on the bulletin board, which is great to take advantage of.
College Senior 2013-02-07T15:07:50Z
The students are here because they know exactly what they want. They therefore tend to be more dedicated and focused. However, there are some students who you can tell do not want to put the work in, which gets frustrated, especially for scene partners and group rehearsals. This makes you wonder why they are at this school and why are they bringing down everyone else.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
