Do I turn in my application before or after my audition and for musical theatre do I just have to do a song or do I have to do a monologue as well. I'd really like to know as soon as possible. Getting there is no trick for me, cause i'm only about 11 hours from NY. I just need to make sure I do my audition right. One more question do I need an SAT or ACT score to get in as well and what is the GPA average for students who get in. The sooner I find out the better. Hope to see you guys in AMDA soon.

Turn in your application to the college before you audition. I was able to fill out a "VIP" application through an email I was sent. You can probably find the promotion on the school website. Through that, if you get accepted, you automatically receive a $1,000 application! Everything you need to know about the audition is on their website (just google AMDA). You can also call them and the people are super nice and tell you everything you need to know. For my musical theatre audition, I sang 32 bars (but had a back-up that showed something "different" just in case) and presented a monologue. Everything is on the website! And students from all academic backgrounds get in, the standards are lower, more arts focused, but there is no such thing as a dumb actor! And I put in my SAT information. Anything helps really! Break a Leg!

idk about the application, but I know that they do not need test scores and I do not think that they really need gpa.

You have to do the application online before you are invited to audition. For musical theater majors you have to do a song and a monologue. Not sure about SAT or ACT or GPA.
