I chose this school because it is a lot more cheaper and more closer to home. The campus is small and it is easy to get from one class to another. Instructors are also very easy to contact and are flexible in their hours to help me when I need help.

one word " AMAZING "

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The tuition is getting too expensive, but it seems like the more you pay all your tuition in all the semesters the more financial aid you will be receiving.

American Samoa Community College has a lot stored for the future generations of American Samoa. The computer labs are free even the printing of any works. Network reliability and speed are just so amazing. It motivates the students to come to school everyday and gain knowledge.

When you need help from one of the Professors, all you have to do is just ask. It is not like they are going to bite you, they will assist you in any way that they can possibly can. I remember asking one of my professor about his test, I told him that it a bit hard for me. He told me which question were hard to me, I answered him. He referred me to the pages, where I can find the answers of those questions and explained to me that my Problem was that I didn't bother reading the Book. Well he was right, I learned my mistake. So he gave me a second chance, and second chances are blessings once you receive them.

I'm a Criminal Justice Major, every single class that I'm taking are definitely meant for my Major. The best part is when they have this Work Study, it is like going to school and getting paid at the same time. But it doesn't last that long, there's a limitation to every students. Depends on their Hours that their assigned with, the more hours the more money.

This school very fair and square in many things. students gets alot of freedom with thier instructor schedule and many all other things except the Zero tolerate. but anything other thing.schedule is very flexiable.

It naturally good, motly alot of students find a job for themselves right after college but it depends on thier degree.
College Senior 2013-04-12T19:09:24Z
The flexibility of my classes are great. Well, I don't work so I don't need to work out a schedule but I have many classmates who are parents and have children, and they are still able to work, seek education and maintain their family. I just wish the degree I wanted to earn (Accounting) had transferrable credits.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education I am paying for is affordable. I can earn my A.A degree with my financial aid only. Some degrees offer classes that have credits that aren't transferrable which is frustrating because I want to further my education at a 4-year college right after I earn my A.A degree.

The computer labs are usually crowded but then we have other centers who allow students to use their computers. Before we had very many problems with our network but now, it's okay.
College Senior 2013-04-12T18:57:23Z
The facilities on campus are always clean. The maintenance does an excellent job. There is a gym, cafeteria and art room which I hardly go because their always crowded with people. The one thing I dislike about my school is Registration period. The Registration system is pretty slow. Faculty keeps anouncing that every year they upgrade the registration system but then people show up nights before registration day to wait in line. My school campus is a very comfortable and safe.

The campus are very clean and comfortable for student hanging out with friends or enjoying the cool breeze air and no one to bother you. The gym and the student center are always pack with student. Some like to dance in the sun or play volleyball in the gym. The library is very clean and quiet. I spend most of my time in the library to read or do my assignment.

All my classes were good and I totally love the teachers. Some of my classes are not transferable when you apply to a larger institution in the states, but they help me with my studies. If I apply to a different institution, I wont have any problem, because I understand how the procedure goes without struggling.
College Senior 2013-02-21T08:07:44Z
Campus life and academic programs are okay. Facilities are a bit limited to students.
College Senior 2013-02-21T08:04:48Z
I chose this school because I wanted to get a head start of what college is like before I actually attend a larger institution. My major is transferable but I worry about how the different standards may affect my classes if my credits won't be transferable.
College Senior 2013-02-21T07:54:12Z
Registering for classes becomes troublesome. Sometimes, the classes I need for my major aren't even available.
Professors and their available office hours are a bit bogus sometimes because I have a hard time trying to get them at the right time. They're either out for lunch or to run personal errands.
The workload is can be a bit too much sometimes.
Special tutoring sessions are available but sometimes the tutor isn't available.
The clubs and extracurricular activities is fun but I think it is a waste of time and money. It just seems so sloppy and unorganized.

I'm a Liberal Arts major. Most of my classes are what I expected. I really enjoy how I don't have to take any unnecessary classes. I'm happy with this major because I understand and know that most of the credits I get from it are transferable rather than other majors. The workload is can be a bit overloaded sometimes. So far, I'm enjoying my academic experience.

This is my second semester in ASCC... If campus resources refer to the offices on campus that are available to students then I would say that it is not the best there is. Some teachers and advisers are willing to help while others are just there to "show & go". I can honestly say that I HATE some of the advisers. I had a hard time trying to get my financial aid things fixed. I was never able to meet my adviser even when I had set an appointment. The words "wait for our call or e-mail, we'll get back to you as soon as possible" had no meaning and value to it. There is more, but I'll just stick to that for now.
College Junior 2013-02-14T20:33:51Z
student body on campus really doesn't help out most of the kids. they just only walk around setting bad examples to other students but, not educating and motivating students to attend class.
College Junior 2013-02-14T20:31:23Z
i believe that if i graduate i could hardly find a better job for my degree.
College Junior 2013-02-14T20:28:36Z
the campus is very excellent. it has a gym and lots of labs to support kids and they even have a lot of programs to provide for kids that are in needs. and a library to study and research and a lecture hall for meetings.

i still have that feeling of wanting to experience how life would be if i take online courses, instead of taking a real classes by facing he professors and the students. but, american samoa community college doesn't have online classes, so i have to come to school and face with the professor and the student but sometime it won't get me focus on pursuing my career.
College Junior 2013-02-14T20:07:14Z
computer network on campus is okay, not bad. but, some difficulties about because wireless access is not for students only for staff and teachers. but, not for student and printer is well provided for students.
College Senior 2012-12-06T01:36:51Z
It does not have the luxury of an university or any other college in the state but it has affordable tuition fees (sometimes). We do not have that many technology advanced but we still managed. That is probably the only thing unique that I know about my school.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
