There is not much hype over homosexuality in Paris or within the University.
There is an atmosphere of liberalism at the University (although it is not very difficult to find conservatives). There are clubs and organizations in which students can take part in making decisions within the University. There is the AUPPA which is the student political association.
There are as many students who come from various financial backgrounds as there are from cultural backgrounds. Some students receive their funding from their families, others from loans or financial aid from the University, and some students search for small jobs for some extra cash.
Most Common Religions
Some of the major religions are represented within the student body; however, there is not a huge religious visibility at the University. In some classes, there are sometimes references to different religions based on what you are discussing, but there is hardly a real presence of any religious attitude. There is a real practice of tolerance in the University when it comes to beliefs.
