Traditions
  • Back-to-School Party: After winter break, the student body rents out a club to throw the Back-to-School Party, which draws in the new students, so it's a good way to meet new members of the school community.
  • Pub Crawl: This usually takes place in the fall term. Students sign up to be in a group with a student adviser who usually takes them around to some of the bars in the area. It's a great way to mix with the other students and explore some of the nightlife.
  • World's Fair: Almost everyone remembers this date. Various cultures are represented and there's a ton of food and drinks. If you mention it here, everyone will instantly know what you're taking about and start telling you around it.
Urban Legends
  • There is a poltergeist-like figure in the Grand Salon of Bosquet that is responsible for flickering the lights on and off when the building is closed for the night.
  • When the University was first opened, one incoming class was presented a dish of rabbit (Lapin à la moutarde) as a welcoming dinner. Apparently, earlier that same day a female student had reported her rabbit had escaped from its cage.
Favorite Things To Do
On breaks and at night, a lot of students can be found in the Amex bar and wandering around Bosquet. There are open-mic nights every Wednesday, raffles, and special drink prices. Other days, there's usually a movie to watch, and they keep the music playing with favorite and current songs. If you're looking for someone, that's usually the place to find them.
