Social Scene
The people of AUP are very outgoing and open to meeting other people. If you express interest in something, you will usually be invited. Usually, on the weekends, the students split up into smaller groups and hit the clubs or bars.
Hookups or Relationships?
There are a lot of hookups at AUP (and some serious relationships, as well). Everyone gets together at parties or clubs, and it's bound to happen every now and again. It's Paris, the city of lights, romance, and few commitments.
Dress Code
There are a lot of different styles at the American University of Paris, but students generally dress in a preppy sort of dress code. The girls usually get dressed up, and the guys are either preppy or in jeans and a T-shirt. However, it's not rare to see people who do their own thing here. The typical style of a Parisian wardrobe is black or whatever happens to be the spring color.
