  2. The Quartier Latin received its name from the Sorbonne students who gathered there in the past. In the Middle Ages, Latin was the international language of teaching and was commonly spoken around the university led by the Church.
  3. One of the most famous cemeteries in Paris is Père Lachaise where people such as Frédéric Chopin, Oscar Wilde, and Jim Morrison (the lead singer of The Doors) were buried.
